drank Apricot Afternoon by Tea Guys

Apricot aroma is pleasant. The tin is pretty and bits of fruit and flowers in the loose tea add to the overall aesthetic. Does make a nice addition to my afternoon choices but not one I could drink every day.

drank Root Beer Rooibos by Tea Guys

I received this tea as a free sample from Tea Guys. Overall it’s a mild flavored tea. It grew on me the more I drank, but I’m not sure I’d drink this on a regular basis. Sassafras is the strongest flavor that comes through, but it’s a well-balanced blend overall. That’s impressive considering root beer is a difficult blend to do well. It seems like it would make for a good afternoon tea and might appeal to people who prefer coffee and/or soda over tea.

Herbals are my least favorite category of tea. But I’ve had this in my office all winter and have gone through several boxes since I first discovered it. I’d recommend it for those who don’t usually like herbals or who are looking for something a bit different in their herbal blend. The combination of the four berries blends well and is much smoother than herbals tend to taste.

Having this one a lot lately. Kind of a mellow, friendly blend of flavors.

drank Strawberry Paraiso by Teavana

The strawberry flavor is the strongest I’ve ever encountered with this tea. I didn’t care for this one the first couple of times I made it, but it has grown on me. A dash tends to blend well with other teas as well.

Keep trying this one but it just doesn’t seem to be growing on me. I’ve tried steeping with a few other teas with improves it somewhat. I can’t even put my finger on why I’m not liking this.

Got in the habit of having this most mornings. Went back to the store to get more, but they said they have retired both of these. So I bought a couple new ones to try, but I’ll miss this one. It’s probably good to break out of the habit though.

Was really excited to try 52teas for the first time. I love toffee, so I bought this tea right away when I saw it on their website. I thought the smell was chocolatey but I didn’t really get a Heath Bar smell. When I steeped I didn’t get any chocolate or toffee taste. And, am I crazy? If someone had just given me this cup of tea I would have sworn it was flavored to taste like hot chocolate. Hmm…will try again in a few days. Will hold off rating for now…

I had 5 cups of this Tuesday morning while working from home, and now I’m having more. I would describe this blend as easy or mindless. There’s not a lot of depth to it but it’s a lot of fun to drink.

Definitely can pick up on the peach notes. The chestnut and honey notes are more subtle. A nice light tea.

I love cold tea & hot tea equally. But living in New England I end up drinking more hot than cold.

I never add sugar or milk to tea. I love lemon in hot and cold teas. And I sometimes experiment with other fresh fruit additions.

I tend toward subtle fruity blends of black, green, oolong, and rooibos teas but I’m trying to expand my tea palate a bit. I hope being part of this website will help.

I am interested in tea swapping. Anything in my cupboard I’m willing to swap. I love trying new teas!

My ratings (because I need some way to conceptualize this vast system) are:

01-39 Unfollow.
40-49 Will never speak to again.
50-59 Would consider calling again.
60-69 Can hangout in my cupboard until they find a place to stay.
70-89 We can be roommates.
90-94 Here’s the key to my cupboard.
95-100 How can a tea be this perfect and special? We must be soulmates.
