328 Tasting Notes
What a delightful and unusual oolong. I have been into oolongs lately as they seem naturally sweet and can be resteeped many times.
This vendor, Dr. Tea , roasts his oolongs in a process similar to coffee beans and voila! with an addition of some vanilla and other flavorings- this really tastes like coffee. I am quite suprised that more folks here have not tried this vendor’s unique product!!!!
Thanks to Ashmanra for this sample! This was a light and pleasant tea- I was not suprised to learn that it was a blend of Chinese tea. However, as I would typically drink this in the morning, I may prefer a bolder blend to start my day….I still have some left so I need to give it a try one more time…
I have grown to really appreciate this tea. This holds up well to multiple infusions – which is quite convenient at work using Puritea’s personal tea kettle. It is warm and toasty. Cannot get bitter even if you let it steep to long. No need for sugar. When I first tried this one, I did not use enough tea leaves to water, and the tea tasted too mild. Now that I have mastered the steeping parameters, I really like this one. So I am upping the rating and am considering a purchase!
Tastes like a big juicy blueberry! More sweet than tart! With milk, does seem like I am eating a gooey danish.
Did you see the size of the blueberries in that blend? I was impressed. Anxious to see what else we can do with magnificient blueberries.
I was about to place an order for this and the Earl Grey Cheesecake today, but I decided to hold off and see what Frank is going to offer next week, and if I want that I’ll order them all at once. So… give us a hint, Frank… is it something that I’m going to want?
Originally this was $30 for the small! But still worth that price. Now, I just wonder what the difference between this and the new “espresso” oolong is? All of the coffee teas I’ve tried have been absolutely amazing.
