I received this yesterday from Lahloo Tea, based in Bristol (UK) and decided to start my day with it. All I can say is that I’m absolutely blown away by this Matcha! The tea has an almost perfect sweet/bitter balance with a lovely lingering sweetness long after it is all gone! The powder smells beautifully fresh, and it’s somewhat thick consistency may tempt me to try out Koicha for the first time later on! 10/10

So if this is a 10/10, why is it a 75/100? Just curious.

Apologies for lack of updates recently! Opened this one a couple of days ago, very different to the two mid-steamed shincha which I also have open.

I haven’t quite figured out how I would describe this one yet, but it is a very refreshing and enjoyable asamushi.

Had this at my local turkish cafe in Leicester (Zesty Meze) great food and drink! Sorry brand unknown, but made and served in the traditional way.

Had this for the first time the other day and was excellent… This session, not so great, think I brewed the second steep a bit too hot, will reduce the temp next time. Seems a decent shincha though.

Picked this one up at the weekend when I had the pleasure of visiting this splendid little tea bar at Spitalfields Market. Description is pretty accurate, lovely and floral. I use 3g of leaf in a small gaiwan with water just off the boil.
