I had a sample of this from the holidays so I gave it a try today. It seemed interesting, but had stevia leaf, so it’s not really my thing. Luckily, my 4 year old loved it (“Sorry, Mom, I’m going to want to drink the whole cup.”) so it will be consumed.

I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. For some reason I’m always tempted to buy chocolate mint teas, but I find I rarely like them. This, with just under a teaspoon of sugar, really hit the spot.

I am working my way through my older teas, trying to clean out the stash to make room for new ones. This is a standard oolong. I was hopeful for something more with “fancy” in the title, but it’s just a solid cuppa. It stands up well to multiple steepings, but doesn’t change in significant ways (the way that many of the best oolongs do).

I liked this tea more than I thought I would. I received it as part of a sampler, and it’s grapefruit is enough to know it’s there, but not enough to be overpowering. More, please!

Just as VariaTEA said “This tea isn’t offensive in any way but it also isn’t anything special. I don’t get any pomegranate flavor, just slightly sweet vegetal oolong.” If you’re expecting something special, it’s a letdown. If you’re expecting an oolong, it’s not too bad.

I ended up with a tin of this + the 12 bags in the holiday sampler, so I had a lot of it to drink this season. At first, I put up with it, then I had a phase where I preferred it (steeped strongly: 2 bags per mug, or a small mug for one bag), then I’ve had other tea in the meanwhile, and now have ended up not caring for it so much again. So: if you plan to drink it in a month, I recommend it, but I don’t think it holds up on its own.

A light, holiday, green tea. I only had 12 bags of it, as part of the three holiday’s tea tin that Republic of Tea puts out, but wish I had more. A nice afternoon tea for this time of year.

Had a cup at a local coffee/tea shop. It was okay, but the tea seemed to be hiding behind the fruit.

This is my favorite pumpkin tea I’ve had yet. I’ve been on the lookout, but so far hadn’t found a good match. Enough pumpkin to be pumpkin, and perfect spices. My office smells so great right now!

Just finished off a tin of this, out of season despite my previous reviews. It’s such a nice cup of tea. My inclination is to replace it immediately, but I’m going to go with autumn teas from now until the holiday season.

Bio

I’ve been into tea, at some level, since college with a first tin of loose tea brought back by my parents from Oxford. My love of tea increased with a visit to Boston and a chance cup at Tealuxe. Since then I’ve only gotten more interested in tea and have developed more of an appreciation for it.
