Oh my goodness! I love this tea! I had a cup this morning, and it’s one of those teas where I could be content just opening the can to smell it…. but then, even better, I get to drink it!

Kicking off the day with this one… and I like it a lot more than the Carolina Breakfast Blend from the same blenders. It’s a standard breakfast blend, but was pretty inexpensive, so it’s a winner in my book! :)

I like this one a lot also! Just bought it since it was the monthly special. I had a whole 22 oz. pot for breakfast. Whew!

Oh, wow! Another pick from Chapel Hill: this has been on my shopping list since I started seeing the great reviews on this site for it. I also picked up Marco Polo, so it’ll be interesting to see how they compare since so many have noted it.

I wasn’t sure I would love this one. I am not a huge vanilla-in-my-tea fan, and fruitiness depends on the season or flavoring. However, this was the perfect blend. It’s definitely about the tea, but it’s about the lovely flavoring, too. I had it with breakfast, and now I’m looking forward to having a cup on it’s own… it might be too good to have with food!

I finally finished this sample! I had it iced, which was delicious! No sugar at all, just yummy tropic tea!

I picked this one up in Chapel Hill, too. The only bottled tea that I’ve ever really had (and that was at least five or so years ago) was peach Snapple tea. I used to really like it. I’ve also been really interested in the Charleston Tea Plantation since I first learned of it. The other day a colleague picked up a DVD from the plantation for me, which was great fun and is keeping this spot in the forefront of my memory.

So, when I saw they had a peach tea, I thought it’d be lovely for iced tea at this time of year. And I really think it was! I carried a bottle of it around with me at Earth Day and it was refreshing and tasty. It was just barely sweetened with sugar in the raw, which I think brought out the peach. Yum!

Awww… this one makes me miss my boyfried! MUST GET! But I’ll wait til I can go to the plantation myself. Glad I saw this one though, I would have logged it under Bigelow when I do try it.

I’ve been into tea, at some level, since college with a first tin of loose tea brought back by my parents from Oxford. My love of tea increased with a visit to Boston and a chance cup at Tealuxe. Since then I’ve only gotten more interested in tea and have developed more of an appreciation for it.

tea rating guide
(updated 12/2010)

100: a perfect cuppa. these are the teas I’ll keep in my cupboard and tend to be one per type of tea.

90-99: will definitely get more of this tea

80-89: likely to get more and perhaps it will become a favorite with time

70-79: very good, depending on my mood or the season

60-69: wouldn’t actively try to get this tea, but also wouldn’t avoid it in a tea shop or restaurant

50-59: run-of-the-mill tea for me

40-49: decent, would hit the spot in some moods, but probably wouldn’t purchase it for my cupboard

30-39: okay, will try again, maybe

20-29: meh. I’d try this tea again if no other were available

10-19: drinkable, but a forced cup

0-9: didn’t even finish the cup
