So haven’t been drinking or reviewing tea lately. Turns out I’m going to have surgery for a very rare kind of brain tumour called an Epidermoid Cyst that is in a very problematic place pushing on my brain stem and right under the medulla oblongata. The surgeon says I have a 99% chance of not dying from the surgery and 95% chance of coming out of it perfectly.Apparently this kind of cyst is found in like 1 of 320,000 people so guess I’m special. The surgery isn’t until November late probably and it will be 5-11 hours with blood on hand in case of blood loss and a special nerve monitors so they can avoid paralysing me for life or waking up under anaesthesia. I’m very scared so I’m going to get back on the drinking tea because even though I have good chances I need to enjoy my life as pre-surgery kat…because I’m going to be a different person after the surgery if I live. I’d love to hear from people who have had serious surgery if possible. Okay drama rant over and on to what we really care about tea!

Smells like Candy and juice and red licorice?
Beautiful dark pink color and once brewed smells like this Polish jelly (awesome jello slime) desert particularly the berry one. Ooh nostalgia.
I’ll try this iced another time it is like we skipped Fall and went right to winter!

As for taste : it kinda tastes like that Polish jello slime except more watered down.Sweet little tart !

Perfect for: Icing, instead of jello, summer feelings in winter darkness.

Final verdict: nice and nostalgic. Not heavy on hibiscus. Quite pleasant hot but would be great iced.I’ll finish my stash but unless it charms me much more it won’t hit the glorious pantheon of my staples.

Oh, I missed commenting on this post when I zipped through it earlier, but I’m happy that the prognosis is so positive. Are you going to be able to drink tea after? How long will recovery be?

I hope it goes smoothly! :O

(relatively positive – I mean it’s still scary and stressful)

Good luck Kat. Just remember not to do too much research online before the surgery. Those are great odds but still scary. Happy thoughts to you.
