I picked up 25g of this on Sunday. I just had to. Every time I went on the Davids website, there it was taunting me…“Try me! Try me! I’ll be a great bedtime tea!”

I had originally intended on buying 50g, but the sales person warned me that she felt it was too flowery. But I had to try it any way.

That evening I anxiously brewed myself a cup. I always follow the instructions when it comes to tea, so I did 5 minutes at 96. I found the flavour less powerful than I had expected. Just a soft warm cozy tea. Strawberry stuck out the most, but I also tasted the lavender.

Last night I brewed a second cup, and then thanks to my crying baby, about half the cup was forgotten. Not to let a good thing go to waste, I downed the remainder cold this morning. JACKPOT! This is AWESOME cold.

Flavors: Lavender, Strawberry

Tea literally gets me through the day. I start with something caffeinated in the morning, then usually a re-steep or less caffeinated tea mid morning and work my way to a herbal by night.

Green tea and oolong are top in my books. I recently discovered that I LOVE genmaicha – but I get why it’s not for everyone. My favourite flavours right now are lime, lavender and mint. I tend to dislike teas that have raisins or hibiscus, and I’m not fond of weak fruit infusions.

A lot of my teas come from Davidstea. I also have some Teavana and Tealish. When I can, I try to pick up unique teas. My most prized tea is a tea from Ste Anne’s Spa in Grafton, Ont called Cinnamon Glow.
