Beginner’s breakfast tea- more dusty than an Irish breakfast, with a darker, molasses-tinged scent. Very, very mild brew, even with a generous helping of leaves. Little to no floral notes.

Very pleasant tea- not at all cloying, citrus-balanced with a fruit-heavy nose and mouthfeel, velvety chocolate undertones. None of the creaminess of red velvet in its entirety, but plenty of the piquant beet notes in the cake and some of the cakey, fresh flavors, especially in the tang. Really excellent. Bags are flawed and often fall apart, highly recommend looseleaf.

I received this as a part of a trade- this was my person’s favorite tea and they enclosed a sample for me to try. Didn’t disappoint. Currently satiating my craving as I hold off on buying ATR’s Brioche for now- cinnamon spice, sweet almond, and floral vanilla. Fairly mild blend, but tasty.
