My friend gave me a sample of this. Unfortunately Tsaa doesn’t have any descriptions available. Bah!
She didn’t like the menthol aspect, but hey I do! Actually, this is the first white tea I’ve enjoyed in awhile. It has a nice base, I think its the depth that appeals to me, like a super rich silver needle with some malt on the side. Noms. Thanks K!!

threw this over ice along with some strawberry slices. Delicious.
It really covers the overly thick juice factor that it build up over time. Yum!

Kaylee

I like the sliced fruit idea!

Indigobloom

I recommend it! esp in white tea :)

I finally gave this one another go. About time eh. It was bad enough that I didn’t feel right giving it away. But I eventually gave it to my boyfriend’s ex, she keeps it at his place so it ended up back in my hands again. Sighs. Just kidding, she’s awesome (seriously).
Anyhow, last time I tried this it made me a bit queasy. Too much flavouring in the teaspoon I took maybe. Who knows. But today, it was ok. Not great, but certainly not weak like the first time, or nauseating like the second one!
I do wish the flavours were stronger but what can I expect after keeping it in my cupboard for so lo ng.
My tastes must have changed, as the base is bearable now too. Bumping the rating a few points.

I got this freeeeee. From Longos. With about $50 worth of groceries for their grand opening. Mostly non essential stuff, but the decadent version. Noms!
Anyhow, that was a few weeks ago.
I’ve had this twice now. For a bagged brew, I think its pretty decent.
Dark and brisk, with some malt… takes milk well, and doesn’t require sugar unless you want it. I like the depth here, and the complex roundness. One of the better teas I’ve had for awhile!

I had an entire cuppa this yesterday and only felt a teeny bit queasy after!!! and I liked it!!! WHAT IS GOING ON?!
It was all lemony goodness and green tea, I didn’t taste any eeeevil berg at all?! I didn’t see berg on the ingredients. Maybe I had a version without?
Sometimes green tea makes me feel a bit off, so I figured that was why but I checked the ingredients anyhow, just to be sure(which is when I discovered the bergness)… Hmm.
Anyhow, I think this is the first berg tea I’ve ever enjoyed a cup of. And that I would recommend!
The citrus is zesty and refreshing. I’d like it to be a bit more zingy but beggars can’t be choosers :P

drank Irish Breakfast by DAVIDsTEA

Free tea for me! Thank you Davids tea :)
Just for wearing green? you can dress me anytime…

anyhow, this is interesting. A little bland but still a good tea.
Breakfast blends have never been my thing. They somehow manage to reduce the complexity of a straight tea! Never figured that one out.
Who knows. Bah. Still, this was nice and malty but in a bready way that was devoid of astringency. Like a flatbread.
Unfortunately, it was somewhat of a deadened note, so nothing beyond that to report! Definitely requires milk and a bit of sugar

So good! the first steep anyhow.
Slightly roasty and green all at once, and oh so smooth!
Secon steep was good too but a bit tart and metallic. Third steep was more floral. Jasmine floral (blech).
The last two were back to roasty goodness with a hint of floral. I’d buy some!
Thanks Sil for the sample :)

drank Sweet Chili by Yogi Tea
1759 tasting notes

I’m with VariaTea on this one.
Yep, horribly sweet in a licorice way and not spicy at all. Actually, I had to double check it was herbal because the taste reminded me a bit of mate.
Definitely nothing spicy or chili here. Do not like.
I did manage to finish my cup so I bet it’d go over better if I was down with a head cold

Jillian

Yick, I’ll consider myself warned.

Indigobloom

It was truly overpowering! I have a feeling the ingredients were unevenly distributed among the bags

What a lovely strawberry oolong! Thanks Sil for sharing, this one has been on my bucket list for awhile.
The oolong is very light and refreshing, pairing excellently with the fresh strawberry. Not really tart, but not too sweet either. One day, methinks this will be in my cupboard! I didn’t get to taste it hot so I’ll have to save the more extensive note for next time

Fjellrev

I am a fan of it too!

TeaLady441

Oooh! I forgot about this one. I can see how I’d totally crave it once things warm up a bit more!

Kaylee

I suspect it would be tasty cold brewed.

Indigobloom

Fjellrev, I had my doubts but now I understand! :)

Indigobloom

Cavo – Omg yes. In the summer this would be divine

Indigobloom

Kaylee, I need to try it that way when I grab more! :P

Thanks MissB!
I had this a few days ago. Backlog.
SOoooooo peach?? Nu uh. I don’t get it.
Baked bread? Yes, that makes sense to me! A pleasant cuppa. On the mild side. I’d buy it, maybe

Profile

Bio

Let’s see… I’m a tea and workout fanatic, I work in HR, and most of my friends consider me to be an egg. White on the outside, Asian on the inside :)
-from philosophy to food, I love it all
Otherwise, what you see is what you get! I can be very straightforward and yet shy.

Also, I’ve started taking tea sommelier classes and it is an absolute blast! Well, so far I’ve only finished the first out of eight courses, but I am really looking forward to the next one.

Anyhow, if your curious as to how I rate things, this is how I work…

0-25
Like eating dirt, or some other unsanitary indelicacy that mentioning in my profile here would likely get me banned.
I don’t think I’ve found cause to banish a tea to the wasteland yet though so who knows what it’d inspire ;P

25-50
You know that expression “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater”? I imagine drinking that water would be terrible enough to warrant this rating!
I’d never make my enemy drink this, but perhaps I’d throw it at them. Good thing I don’t have any enemies!

50-70
This is “tea”?? I tried finishing the cup… but my body rejected it. There may be others who enjoy this tea, but it’s beyond me!

70-80
I tried liking it, and I can almost get there! I certainly don’t hate it, but something is holding me back. Allergies? Men in white suits? who knows… certainly not me!

80-90
Lovely tea! Not my all time fave but close. I likely wouldn’t repurchase, but may decide to based on many factors: price, accessibility, whether it fills a “tea gap”, medicinal applications, and how often I crave it.
Every once in awhile I find the sweet spot that bumps these up to 90+. Those are the days I need to buy a lotto ticket!

90-95
Sweet Camellia! this is realllly good tea! Don’t talk to me until I’ve finished my cup…

95-100
Tea of the gods. I would do anything to get my hands on more of this liquid gold!
