A strong caramel scent without any of the artificial sweetness you get with some flavoured teas (even after I picked out a lot of the caramel chunks and ate them!) The scent mellows and softens to a creamy almond when brewed. Lovely golden-green colour to the tea too.

Tasted straight up, the tea is light and refreshing with a smooth caramel aftertaste. My second cup that had steeped slightly longer (I only have a teeny teacup) was stronger but without bitterness. When I try it again I’ll probably add a smidge of honey to see if it brings out the caramel a bit more but overall, my first “proper” cup of tea was an enjoyable one!
