really smooth, little sweet, little bit earthy
tastes good
Nice go-to red tea.

I need to re-stock. I only have a little bit left and I really like this tea.

Flavors: Earth, Smooth

2 tsp 15 OZ / 443 ML

One of my favorites from Shang.

I need to go back to his store. I had such a good time talking tea with him several years ago.

It’s a great tea place. Fantastic people and excellent tea.

Seriously minty smelling black tea. Hit you in the face with mint.
Taste – not as strong as smell, but still has a lot of mint flavor.
I can still taste the black tea underneath the mint.
I think for me there’s just too much mint. I’ll finish drinking what I have.

This has been on my wish list from Gong Fu for awhile. Do you normally like mint tea?

Usually yes. This tea is very pepperminty, which I tend to find harsh. If it was less intense, I’d like it better.

Smells like the name, ginger is very strong.
Taste not as strong as the smell.
I get sweet orange, ginger, then mint. I had to check the ingredients list because it was very sweet. I was was surprised that there was no stevia or other sweetener added to this tea. Just naturally sweet. It’s nice I like it.

I’ve been trying to drink up some of my older teas.

Cool to watch these pearls unravel. I tried not to overleaf and so put less pearls in than I have in the past. This tea has caused some insomnia and other caffine related issues for me in the past – making it strong and having too much in one session.
Chocolaty smell. Smooth and chocolate taste. Lovely cup from the first steep. Tried steeping a second time and it was fine, but probably not worth a second steep in the future.
I’m using 4 balls in 14-15oz of water at 185F for 4 min.

Flavors: Chocolate, Earth, Malt

Honey vanilla flavored black tea.
silky creamy mouthfeel

This is reliable black tea for me. It tastes good every time. Really only good for one steep. Lingering creamy honey at end.

I need to restock this tea.

When I follow temp/steeping guidlines this tea is so much better. Strong jasmine scent in dry leaves. I don’t get strong jasmine flavor from this tea. I thought it was a black tea, but it’s a green tea instead. Which makes my review make more sense. I think I may have cooked the leaves the first time.
Smooth with jasmine flavor at the end. I got more jasmine flavor with cooler water. I can and will enjoy drinking the rest, but I won’t be buying more of this blend.
Steep 2 tsp at 190 F for 2 min in 15 oz

I used the last of this sample packet. It previously opened I don’t know how long. Earl Grey’s are hit and miss for me. I love how bergamot smells but often don’t like the taste. This one is fine, but I don’t taste much of bergamot for anything else really. Wet leaves smell of bergamot. I don’t think this is the tea for me.

I haven’t liked this tea previously. Trying to steep it shorter and with hotter water just left me with an upset stomach. I poured out the rest of my mug. I don’t get any orange flavour at all. And I love citrus teas.
Unfortunately when I last ordered, I bought more….oops. I have a sealed 1oz/29g package I’d be willing to trade. I’d like someone to like it.

drank monkey picked oolong by Teavana

I’ve had this tea for a while. I might have brewed it a smidge too hot the first steep. The flavor wasn’t there. It did get slightly better once it cooled down and on the 2nd and 3rd steeps with cooler water. Buttery with slight floral at end. I had a much better oolong last night. This definitely suffers in comparison.

I started my tea journey with Stash/Celestial Seasonings tea bags years ago. All loose leaf, unless I’m sick or traveling.

I like black, oolong, white, herbals, and raw/ripe pu’erh. I don’t drink green tea often.

I play video games, read, and do pottery. My current favorite tea mug is one I threw and glazed.

I generally review teas twice – initial and final steeps.

My cupboard is completely out of date. I have a spreadsheet that has 250 teas, but is also out of date. And tea all over the living room that hasn’t been logged anywhere!

85-100 are teas that I loved and want to keep in stock.
71-84 are teas that are good. I may or may not get them again. Source for daily drinkers/work teas.
60-70 are teas that I didn’t like. I’ll finish what I bought.
Anything less than 60…nope.
