Smells of tropics, citrus, and a little bit of spice. I don’t quite get all the flavors in the taste. Flavors more subtle in taste. I wish some of the flavors would be more prominent. Maybe I’ll increase the amount of leaf I’m using. Play with the parameters a little. Thick mouth-feel. 2nd steep had more coconut coming out though I also steeped it longer. 1st steep was 2 min, 2nd steep was 3 min. I’ll probably try this again at 2.5 min. Spices were warming. I liked it.

smells flowery, grassy
This is definitely a greener oolong. It’s light in body both color and taste. Tastes flowery and fruity but faintly. I didn’t get the thick or sweet taste it’s supposed to have according to the description.

Sample sipdown. 2tsp 205F 2 min – aroma flowers and fruit taste honey flowers. 2nd steep 2 min sweet flowers, but not overdone. I did two more steeps with this. Nice and smooth throughout. I think I could have probably gotten a few more steeps from this. I’ll consider getting more of this tea.

4g 8oz 200F smells very green with roasted hints. 30s – peas? light roasted taste. 1 min- more roast flavor, cooked dark greens. 1 min 30s – maybe a little sweeter, still very green tasting.
I’m going to try this tea again and steep longer the first time. I’m glad I’ve only got a sampler because I don’t like this tea. Maybe a lower water temperature?

2tsp 14oz 200F 2min
Twisty leaves, good proportion of golden tips present. This tea was part of a Rise+Shine package that I got for Christmas from my sister. Dry leaf smells malty especially once I get it out of the package. Brews up medium brown. Tastes malty and bready more as it cools. A little sweet, slightly astringent.
I’ll probably up the leaf the next time I have it to up the flavor a little. Rating 75. I would not repurchase this tea. For the amount of money that they want for 2oz, the taste of the tea is not there.

Dry leaf smelled sweet, fuity, tart cherries. I used boiling water as per directions which was a mistake. Flavors wete muted. Too hot and it killed the flavor. I like the base of the tea. I just wish the cherry flavor came through more. I tried this again with lower water temperature and more cherry flavor was present. Still not enough for me. I like the cherry flavor in Cholate Cherry Latte by A Quarter to Tea better.

I think it’s a decent introductory tea. It held up well to steeping for about 2 hours while I had a training session this morning and didn’t go off in any way. A smooth cup of tea. Earthy, but not overpowering. Convenient form for travel. 2 yea bags for 15oz. 74.

17feb decent daily drinker. Beragamot is not something I see out to drink. I like the smell, not the taste. Unfortunately, when I went to check the name, I ended up dumping most of it on my living room floor. :( I managed to save some.

Flavors: Bergamot

Try Paris by Harney and Sons. It’s a vanilla/bergamot tea, but it’s pretty good.

Maybe I’ll get some after my buying hiatus is over. Thanks for the rec!

Bio

I started my tea journey with Stash/Celestial Seasonings tea bags years ago. All loose leaf, unless I’m sick or traveling.

I like black, oolong, white, herbals, and raw/ripe pu’erh. I don’t drink green tea often.

I play video games, read, and do pottery. My current favorite tea mug is one I threw and glazed.

I generally review teas twice – initial and final steeps.

My cupboard is completely out of date. I have a spreadsheet (it’s current!!!) that’s over 300 teas. Pretty equal amounts of black, white, oolong, raw, & ripe with a little bit of green/herbal.

Ratings
85-100 are teas that I loved and want to keep in stock.
71-84 are teas that are good. I may or may not get them again. Source for daily drinkers/work teas.
60-70 are teas that I didn’t like. I’ll finish what I bought.
Anything less than 60…nope.
