42 Tasting Notes
A very nice Earl Grey. Though not quiet as good as the one I lost when Teavana bought out SpecialTeas.com and then closed them down. Their Paris Soiree was the best—nice, grapefruity Earl Grey. I still kind of resent Teavana for that—and for losing my other SpecialTeas.com fave, that had white tea and mallow flowers and currants.
This was one of the first straight, unflavored green teas I drank that I really liked, and began to see why anyone would like green tea much. Very full-flavored, and sort of…grassy I guess? I see people use that descriptor a fair amount about green tea and I suppose that’s what I tasted in this. Anyway, it was very nice.
I think this is my favorite oolong so far. And it is, for me at least, an excellent “starter” oolong since the floral, fruity flavors are so up front that I’m better able to notice them in more subtle teas.

This is my first Keemun. I like it a lot—I realized that this is what’s missing in so many of the disappointingly anemic English Breakfast blends that I’ve tried. I’m going to have to try more keemuns, since I see people saying this one is good but not their fave.
