I see this name in similar configurations under other tea companies, so I wonder if it’s a house branding of a variety available elsewhere.

All the same, it does have a Creamsicle vibe; sweet orange rather than tart blends nicely with the rooibos. Makes a nice afternoon break.

drank Ginger Snappish by Bigelow
2902 tasting notes

This isn’t readily available in Southwest Missouri so I was tickled to death to receive a couple bags in a card from a dear friend with better connections. She knew that work stress and life stress were making me “snappish” so it just seemed to fit.

Not a gingerbread flavor; just a nice no-caffeine balance of lemon and ginger, not too heavy on either. Perfect for the night before Thanksgiving when all through the house were thunderstorm and tornado warnings and rain pelting the windows sideways.

And while sipping and contemplating, I gave thanks that despite a difficult year for my family, I am a rich woman. Just count the teas in my cupboard and the blessings all around me. Happy Thanksgiving to you all; may you have a surprising take-your-breath-away moment where you are absolutely blown away with joy and gratitude.

Felt a little adventurous and alchemist this morning … sweetened this with a little blop of marshmallow cream. Oh, my, pie!

This just made you my hero!

Well, THAT just made my day. Try some on your pumpkin pie tomorrow, too (my husband got me hooked on that little nutritional habit).

This may be the way I try this tea when I break open the sample! Yum, sounds delicious.

Still able to scrape teaspoons from what seems to be a bottomless, magically replenishing tin…ever had one like that? Anyway, just to mix it up a little, I dropped in a couple droplets of caramel latte sweetener. Not bad!

(Addendum: I am blessed with co-workers who love to cook and share; there are fresh cinnamon rolls in the breakroom. Suddenly this tea tastes a WHOLE lot better!)

drank Hong Tao Mao Feng by Drink The Leaf
2902 tasting notes

This is on my to-review list for itsallabouttheleaf.com, but absolutely had to stick in a good quick word - even with a goof on my part, chintzy on the leaf as usual; this is GREAT. Golden and caramel and I can’t wait to see what it’s like when I do it right.

drank English Breakfast by Stash Tea
2902 tasting notes

Looking back, I’m surprised I hadn’t reviewed this yet, especially since there always seems to be a handful of Stash around the house. No one particular feature or flavor stands out. It’s good, smooth hot leaf juice, and that’s not a bad assessment. Nice with milk.

drank Blood Orange by Adagio Teas

Was a really ruby red after the full 7 recommended mins, but too tart for my personal preferences…little grenadine and a sugar cube took the edge off. I can see this iced with ginger ale come summer.

Still good and raisin-y, but today’s batch went a little bitter after it cooled for a while. (What? Let a cup sit that long? Am I nuts?)

drank New Vithanakande by Harney & Sons
2902 tasting notes

Inspired by all you busy little de-cupboarders out there, I decided to start tackling some of my most elderly bits and pieces of tins. This definitely qualifies. Five years old, easily. Since we know older tea loses its edge a bit, I doubled up on the leaf this morning, and by golly! Apricot! (Saw that notation in Harney’s product description, but never got it until now.)

Meghann M

Happy day for finding the flavors in the description! And working on decupboarding.

ashmanra

Wow! I own this tea and didn’t remember the part about apricot. I rarely drink it, but knowing this I will have to revisit it. Thanks!

gmathis

I’m chintzy with the dry leaves and I think that’s probably why I miss out on a lot of good subtle stuff.
