Getting rid of some more bags!

This is toasty roasty morning goodness! It is mostly the roasty flavor of the rice, but there is just enough flavor from the grassy, mildly sweet green tea to let me know it’s not just rice

I know this was probably meant as an iced tea, but I decided to have it hot tonight. While it didn’t send me straight to fairy land like the citrus vanilla, it was delicious! The oolong base definitely makes this creamy! I liked the combo of the cooling sensation of the mint and licorice root against the warmth of the citrus and the dandelion root. For my tastes the lavender was a little strong, but I imagine if I had had it cold that flavor would be a little less forward.

I had this hot today instead of cold-steeped. Still yummy! Sweet, but with enough natural tartness to really pull of the plum. Light floral and spice undertones.

Another random tea bag while at training.

Heavy on the cinnamon and cardamon. I’m not tasting much of the assam. Just ok. I’ve had much better chais. This would probably be better with milk, but I don’t have any.

drank Lady Grey by Twinings

I had a bunch of tea bags floating around, so I decided to bring them to the training center today. I already found out we have a hot water tap on the floor of our training room. Woot!

This is REALLY strong on the bergamot. I am fond of Twining’s Earl Grey. It’s one of the bagged teas I drank a lot before I switched mostly to loose leaf. Maybe I just haven’t drunk it in a while, but this one is stronger than earl grey with the bergamot. It also tastes like there is some other citrus in it too… a touch of lime? The base is nice as well, not overly bitter. Altogether, a solid morning cup of tea. Something to enjoy while I’m sitting here waiting for the boring class to begin. I hate these kind of training classes.

And I think this particular bag was sent to me by Shelley_Lorraine, so thanks again! :-)

I’m not going to be at the offive today due to being at training, so I stuffed a tea bag of this in my travel mug this morning so I will have something yummy to start my day off. As usual this one is buttery, sweetly vegetal, and lightly floral. Lovely morning!

A friend of mine has been raving about this tea! I picked up some for her around her birthday and got myself some at the same time.

I’m not as enamoured of it as she is. It’s a little muddy tasting despite the bright citrus element to it. I think it’s the combination of this particular rooibos and the yogurt bits that doesn’t sit well with me. It gives it a a cream cheese quality. I had to throw it out. This cuppa is not for me! I’ll have to give my friend the rest of it or maybe save it for the next travelling tea box I’m getting I know some people are fond of this kind of dessert tea.

Thanks, Shelley_Lorraine!

Cloves and Licorice? Yes, please! I love both and would never think of putting them together. The licorice smooths out the cloves and makes the mouthfeel deep and cool. The cinnamon was just right and the apple was light, but natural tasting from what I could tell. I need to get some of this around the holidays. Yum!

White Pear by Ovation Teas

Thanks, Shelley_Lorraine for this tea.

Light, slightly astringent base- got bitter as it cooled. Very, very light pear taste- Couldn’t really get enough of it to tell if I liked it or not.

I run, I sing, I drink tea. That’s the best description I have of me.

I’ve always enjoyed tea, but have just started trying out a lot more loose teas and varied brands. I’m really excited about a site like steepster so I can read about what people think about different teas.

Oh and I really hate Lipton tea. There’s something just awful about it and I can’t understand why nearly every local diner only has Lipton.

Also I’m on the search for a full-bodied, fruity blackberry tea. So if you have any suggestions feel free to throw them my way! :-)
