Thanks again, Nicole Martin!

I actually managed to not oversteep at work! Hurrah!

This tea was a nice contrast to the dark tea I had this morning. It is light, not overly bright and of course milky. I’m picking up pineapple notes in the aftertaste, which are become stronger as the tea cools.

Not oversteeping at work is quite an accomplishment! :D I swear everyone senses when I put some on to steep and of course everywant wants something then! :D

Tea for Me Please - Nicole Wilson

I loved the pineapple notes in this one. Glad you enjoyed it!

Skulleigh- Ain’t that always the way of things!

Nicole- Thanks, again! :-)

Thanks, Nicole Martin, for this tea!

It seems that in the last couple of days I am doomed to oversteep. I get so distracted. Ah well! I will reserve my rating until I can try this again with a proper steep time.

The roasted flavor is VERY strong and I’m glad I only have the light roast! I imagine the dark roast might be like charcoal. There is also a very bright citric note that weirdly reminds me of darjeeling.
Additionally there is a creamy, nutty note that is really pleasant.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve been thinking about getting one, but the last thing I need at work between the phone and checking in a crazy amount of patients is another thing beeping for my attention. Maybe I’ll have to try it one of these days.

I have a timer from Tavalon that uses hour glasses. There is one for 3 minutes and one for 5 minutes which should cover most teas, no beeping needed :)

Thanks, Nicole!

I know there is no ginger in this but it reminds me of a gingerbread cookie that’s heavy on the cloves. I of course over-steeped this because I was busy packing, but I liked how the cloves turned out- maybe I would like just a little more apple

From the Momo box!

This is quite yummy as a cold brew. This is a nice creamy rooibos and the orange flavoring tastes just like a creamsicle

Thanks, Teamore, for a cupsworth of this! :-)

The dryleaf of this is so enticing! Cinnamon apple goodness! It was sitting on my desk all day at woek and the scent was so strong it was the only thing I could smell for a while. It worried me just slightly that the scent was a little bit like apple cider vinegar, which was the thing that disappinted me when I tried Marie-Antoinette by Nina’s.
The taste lived up to the aroma (even with me vastly oversteeping). It starts out with the taste of pie filling- strong green apples melted down and enhanced by cinnamon. As I kept drinking I started picking up on the green tea base, which was perfect to represent crust because of. How buttery it was!

There was a little apple cider vinegar note in the aftertaste, but it wasn’t completely unpleasant. Overall this was better than I expected it to be and really evocative of pie!

Sad sip-down! I really like this one.

I drank this at work, so I didn’t steep it at boiling and I got a whole new flavor profile. This time it seemed even smoother and I swear there were mushroom notes and this time I actually am picking up some lychee. I didn’t taste that when I steeped it at boiling.

This is a really lovely tea!

Most certainly!

So on the way to the NYC meet-up tonight (which was a lot of fun btw), I grabbed a cup of this to go, sampled pumpkin chai as a cold-brew and picked up a packet of sugar and spice. The hype for the new blends sucked me in!

This was a lot sweeter than I expected! Although I tasted pistachio, I kept wondering if they had put some other tea in there because it was so sweet. It didn’t however taste candy-sweet which was nice. It remained natural tasting and there was some herbal spiciness in there keeping the whole thing from going over the top. I don’t think I’ll buy this one, but it was quite yummy!

I haven’t had this tea in a couple of weeks and OH the cocoa goodness! This finishes up the packet I’ve been keeping at work, but I have 4 oz waiting to be opened at home. happy dance

Pomegranate Black Tea

Another tea bag to try during this class. They should only call it training if we’re moving as fast as a train… obviously boredom is playing with my head.

The black base to this tea is pretty weak and very generic. The pomegranate flavoring is weak and semi-fake tasting. It is however, mildy sweet so I don’t really want to dump it. Instead it is another tea I can mindlessly sip on while semi-paying attention to people asking for the umpteemth time how to enter data into certain parts of patient registration.

THanks, Shelley_Loraine for a packet of this tea to try.

Hmmmm… I just don’t think I like the combination of the lemongrass and spearmint in this. It just doesn’t work for me. It’ll be something to sip on mindlessly during my second day of this training session.

I run, I sing, I drink tea. That’s the best description I have of me.

I’ve always enjoyed tea, but have just started trying out a lot more loose teas and varied brands. I’m really excited about a site like steepster so I can read about what people think about different teas.

Oh and I really hate Lipton tea. There’s something just awful about it and I can’t understand why nearly every local diner only has Lipton.

Also I’m on the search for a full-bodied, fruity blackberry tea. So if you have any suggestions feel free to throw them my way! :-)
