Colour me impressed, this is one of the few pu-erhs I have ever enjoyed. I’d say my favourite has been Chicago Tea Garden’s Sticky Rice tuocha, as a side note. For reference, I detest earthy flavours, like dirt and minerals, and anything resembling the ocean, so it makes sense that I tend to stay away from pu-erh.

Love the scent of the dry leaf. Very rich and creamy, like a gooey melted Caramilk. I tried this hot with some 2% milk, anticipated some pretty frightful base notes to come forth, but none could, that I recall. Should have taken a sip straight to really confirm this. The overall strength of the flavours were on the weaker side. I would have expected this to be thicker but it was like drinking a thin black tea with a splash of caramel. Makes me want to steep this more strongly next time.

Yes, next time. There will be a next time for a pu-erh in my life. Crazy.
