326 Tasting Notes
Well this is certainly better as a cold brew, mostly because it tones down the flavour. Still kind of getting a wine cooler vibe from this, but not as strong. Will certainly be finishing off what I have left cold. No way I’ll miss it when it’s gone though.
Preparation
This was my first love from David’s Tea. It tastes rather similar to a apple crisp. Apple is definitely the strongest flavour, with a nice cinnamon-y oat highlight. I made this as a cream based latte one day, and it was perfect.
That being said, I probably jumped the gun on buying another 50g immediately after finishing my first sample. It’s good, but I wouldn’t want to drink it too much as I don’t want to get tired of it.

This is probably one of my favourite teas.
It’s not overly sweet or fruity, but it’s definitely there. The strongest flavour probably is the prickly pear—I can’t say for sure as I’ve never had it. You can pick up on the pineapple too. I do suspect I have a minor oral allergy to whatever’s in this as drinking it kind of makes me feel like I’ve drunk some very tiny soft needles, but not in a bad way. I made sure to stock up on this and will be very upset when I run out.

Ever since I read that this is being discontinued, I’ve been meaning to give it a go. It also seemed to be the perfect thing after having Thai food for lunch. The only thing I was worried about was the coconut—not a favourite of mine. Well I need not have worried. The coconut notes in this are fresh and creamy and go fantastically with the lemon. This reminds me of having a cross between lemon meringue and coconut cream pie. Interested to see if this is good iced as well, as if so I may attempt to stock up before I lose my chance.
Flavors: Coconut, Lemon
Ugh, damnit DAVIDsTEA.
Where do they announce discontinuations? I usually just find out when I see stuff in the webspecials or when I go to buy more and it’s long gone.
Hmm…this might be the only tea from the spring collection I actually prefer hot. It’s not unpleasant iced—the flavour is actually pretty similar—but the fact that this hot still reminds me of pie makes it pretty hard to beat.
Given that I have so many other teas that I’ll pretty much ONLY drink iced, I’ll stick to having this hot. Still trying to figure out if this is one I’ll stock up on before the spring collection goes away.
Flavors: Berries
Preparation
Wasn’t sure what I was in the mood for this morning so I just asked my boyfriend to pick a tea out at random, and the result was this.
A nice fruity black tea. Strawberry is most prominent, but the floral notes tone it down without being in your face. The actual tea aspect of this is pretty light too. I find there’s a bot of a sour after taste. I haven’t really been in the mood for blacks recently, but this isn’t heavy like I find a lot of blacks are.
I don’t think I would get more of this, but I’d enjoy it if someone offered it to me.

Sipdown!
Hot, this tea reminds me of some Dutch gummies that are shaped like pink Cadillacs which I’ve never been able to find outside of the Netherlands. It’s kind of a tart berry flavour, like raspberry mixed with something else. Some family friends would always bring those candies when they came to visit so this tea takes me right back to my childhood. I’m sure I’ll get some more eventually.
Flavors: Berries, Tart
Preparation
There’s something kind of off putting about this tea that I can’t quite place my finger on. It’s not the tartness, which I enjoyed. There’s lemon, which is fine. I’m not sure if it’s the rooibos, the hibiscus (which I don’t usually mind), or something else in this that’s putting me off. It wasn’t strictly unpleasant, but I certainly wouldn’t buy this again.

I got this tea as my free 50g back in January when I was on a chocolate tea kick. I probably should’ve taken into consideration the fact that I don’t actually like coconut, which is pretty prominent in this, but the dry leaf reminded me of chocolate cheesecake so I had to give it a go.
This one is amazing as a latte. Starts on a creamy milk chocolate note followed by a hint of coconut and then almond. A nice dessert tea to be sure. I know I’m going to regret having this much caffeine so late in the evening, especially since the time change has already put me off, but sleep is totally over-rated anyway.
Flavors: Almond, Chocolate, Coconut
Preparation
My biggest problem is it takes about 4 hours to kick in. So I’ll have a tea or coffee if I’m working late but then it doesn’t actually do anything until around when I’m trying to fall asleep!
Exactly! Ah well, it at least makes for some pretty productive nights even if the next morning is hell.
Having this cold brewed certainly did improve the taste. The artificial taste of the strawberry was toned down, though I still wouldn’t consider it at all natural tasting. I also found the various flavours blended together much better resulting in a more uniform sip. Despite the improvement, I would still say my feelings towards this tea are neutral at best. At least I know I’ll be able to get through what I have left of this relatively painlessly. My stock of teas I only really enjoy iced seems to be rapidly growing so hopefully I won’t get tired of iced tea anytime soon.

Yay, glad you thought it was better too. Cold brewing i also a good way to quickly get rid of teas that you don’t like haha.
