Picked a small bag of this up at the Tea Source after hearing intriguing descriptions of milk oolongs.

The tea taste is quite green, and mostly buried by the milk flavors. They impart a buttery, creamy flavor and texture. It’s an enjoyable drink, but not in the same way that most teas are enjoyable to me.

Have been experimenting with longer steeps on this one, and the flavor has deepened and become more interesting. Still pretty easy to drink and not especially exciting, but pleasant.

Got this tea as part of a sampler from LiquidProust. I really liked this one.

The scent had a lot of wet hay/damp soil notes, which I have come to associate with pu’erh.

The flavor is delicious, with a silky, full body.

Delicious as always.

Drank the wash today because I don’t really have anywhere to put it at work. 10 seconds steep of dry leaves still tasted great.

This tea has a silky mouth-feel and a rich, earthy taste. The fermentation taste is a bit strong at first, but by the 3rd steeping it mellows considerably.

Not my favorite sort of tea taste, but definitely an enjoyable experience.

My overwhelming impression was of bitterness.

Beneath the bitterness, there was a flat, uncomplicated sort of vegetable taste, with a bit of earthiness.

A full bodied, slightly malty black with mild astringency. Stands up to repeated steepings very well.

The flavor becomes deeper and more complex when brewed gongfu style.

A flavorful oolong with woody & nutty overtones. The liquor is a golden orange in color. I sometimes catch a hint of chocolate on the finish. Mildly astringent.
