Spam bombing just makes me to avoid whatever their add is for.

Got rid of them. They added a lot of teas and companies…got rid of those too though.

They are back with full force. Just wondering, is there any way to repot them?

This is bad, it ruins the whole relaxing board experience. Unless an admin shows up all we can do is bump topics.

Got rid of them again. Unfortunately we don’t have a report feature now, so posting here or emailing me directly is the best way right now. If they continue to attack the boards and teas like this, we’ll have to look into a more permanent solution. Thanks for bearing with us in the mean time.

Just a suggestion to choose a few moderators in different time zones. I moderated a gaming forum for a number of years, we had mods in time zones worldwide, so when something came up we had people online.

I talked with him about that, their system isn’t set up to allow remote access for people, or something like that.

Yea, I’d love to start allowing people to help moderate, it makes my life a lot easier! We just don’t have the tools or system setup to do that, and we’re constantly weighing that against all the other things we’re trying to build/add to the site, so it’s hard to find the time. But if they continue attacking us like this we’ll definitely have to find a better, longer term solution.

It really just defies common sense. They don’t even post anything compelling. Is it because the links in their posts have viruses?

Yea, I’m keeping an eye on that one. Gathering info about the user and behavior so we can better prevent it in the future. I’ll be sure to get rid of all the spam teas/companies/discussions once we’ve gathered all the info we need.

They seem to be advertising air conditioning, and water heater service related things. The current places are in Jakarta, and other places in Indonesia, they seem to be spamming a lot of sites at the moment whether the links contain viruses or not I have no idea. I wouldn’t be surprised.

It’s most likely just an attempt to boost their search ranking. But it’s a really ineffective way of doing so, which is why crappy spammers do it mostly.

They’re slowly evolving…

Maybe some day they will evolve to talking about tea. :)

My hope is they’ll somehow all signup for Select :)

Should be all gone. They really went after teas/companies this time, but they’re no match for my powers of administration!
