https://chicagoteafestival.com

General Admission (incl. both days) costs $24.
(an additional $4 venue fee will be added)

After that, tickets will only be available at the door for $29.

I had fun last year and look forward to the coming fest! Any other Steepster denizens planning to attend? I notice that the Adagio Teas retail store at Old Orchard in Skokie is only 9 miles north of the Festival, so I’ll maybe stop in there on my way home! [Followup 4/17: Festival was great! And I did visit the Adagio store in Skokie, which was nice, too!]

AGGGG I’m sorry I missed this post! I was there. Did you end up going? Had a great time. I was volunteering.

Yes, I was there and had a fabulous time! Really enjoyed the keynote presentation on US tea cultivation, and found the speaker highly knowledgeable! Also appreciated Michael Harney’s engaging presentation on his company’s history, teas and travel adventures! The exhibitors were interesting, too, though I was disappointed that none of those offering puehr had any tea resin for sale or tasting, as this is something I would’ve liked to try. I was also surprised that the Taiwanese company seemed to have no awareness of the TTES #18 teas, AKA “Ruby”, “Hong Yu”, and “Red Jade”. It is among Taiwan’s most famous. (Even Harney carries it!) Another attendee directed me to Volition’s exhibit, saying they had Red Jade, but that turned out to be a different cultivar, “Bai Ye Dan Cong”, from Guangdong China, which they have confusingly named Red Jade. But the Chicago Tea Festival was an awesome experience overall, and I look forward to next year’s festival already!
