Help with Tea Recipe

I’m trying to develop a tea for runners. I have done a lot of research and I want to include turmeric, willow bark, green tea, and hibiscus. I am blending it with a little lemon peel because it’s intended to be drank iced. My problem is that it tastes thin and tart. Any suggestions on what I can do to add a deeper flavor to it and offset the tartness of the lemon and hibiscus?

Hi Laura! :)

Fun idea! The first thing that came to mind was elderberry, but I think licorice root might also be a good ingredient to look at – both have associated wellness/functional benefits that probably wouldn’t be too out of place with your concept, and based on your ingredients list I think they could compliment/round out the flavour profile.

My first thought was elderberry too!
