We loosely talked about musical’s with this seasons’ Buffy episode but this was our first proper Broadway musical and it’s definitely nice to finally be able to say “Ok, I get it!” after six years of my theater friends telling me I need to check this one out.

I really got into Danganronpa back during our first season, but the video game has a pretty significant run time and I just didn’t see the format being something we could realistically tackle. We’ve covered a ton of super hero related fandoms at this point, but something that’s really never come up in our discussions of them is religion. In fact, if you had told me that I would end up becoming a massive fan of a comic series with religion solidly woven into its roots and that falling in love with it would give me a quote about morality so powerful that I’d tattoo it on my body… Well, I wouldn’t have believed you. Ms. Marvel is amazing though and the seamless way they’ve integrated religion and just massive themes of identity is definitely worth a read.
