Mandarin Orange Slice in Tea

I was out of lemons recently and my fiancé had just bought these clementine / mandarin little oranges so I cut a slice of one of the oranges , placed it in my tea cup with (to replace the lemon) a little raw wildflower honey and a Taylor’s of Harrogate Scottish Breakfast Tea bag. I was skeptical until I actually tried mycuppa and much to my surprise I thought it was fantastic. In fact I may even like the flavor of the orange better than the lemon. Since I had one success with orange slice I tried experimenting with Pu-Erh, loose full leaf green and black teas and most were to my liking.
Just wanted to share my experience because I was sick and consuming tea with great regularity, but here’s the hook. I’ve been a black and green tea purist most of my tea drinking life only using sugar or Splenda and never milk and only lemon and honey when sick. For whatever reason one little orange slice has changed my taste so much so that even my ice tea will have a few orange slices.
Anyhow, thanks for reading
