Shae’s tasting notes always show up late on the dashboard. I read every note, click the heart, go back a day later and there are notes mixed in from Shae that were not there before.

Two of my notes have gone to my tealog and recent activity without ever going to dashboard. It is not a big deal, just might also be happening to other people!

This absolutely happens to me too. My own notes fail to appear on the dashboard for no apparent reason. I’ve even tried deleting and reposting and it doesn’t work! I’ve also noticed the same when browsing recent notes by company – not all notes are there. The only places notes seem to reliably appear is on the tea itself, and in one’s own tealog.

In my case, it’s definitely my fault. I like for my tealog to reflect when I drink each tea instead of when I sit to write the note, so I will typically click review right when I start drinking and then type my note as I finish the cup (sometimes it takes me a couple of hours to type it out and sometimes I come back to it later). It’s captured on my tealog but I’ve learned that it won’t show on the dashboard until I actually add text. It does show on the Recent thread though, interestingly enough. I didn’t realize it was bothering others though until I stumbled across an old tasting note this week talking about it. I’m sorry!

No bother, Shae! I didn’t want you to think I was skipping your notes! But I might miss them if I scroll backward to my last liked post without checking further back. Use notes however it best suits you, I understand what is happening now and it isn’t glitching on you, so I will just keep checking back a little farther to make sure I see yours!

I’ve had the impression that ever since the Adagio takeover, they simply don’t even look at this thread at all. Better luck might be had trying to reach them on either of these threads:

Does anyone know if some sort of block was put in place on new accounts to not be able to fill out their profiles due to the spam problem? Does anyone with a normal moderator account have any sort of ability to provide access to the profile, if that is the case?

I’ve wondered what happened with that poll. Hopefully they are working on some of those items behind the scenes.

So the bug that persists is since I have actually had e-mail notifications back, which is great, if I click on any links in those notifications, it will say that I’m not logged in, even if I definitely am. Then clicking ‘log in’ just leads me back to the dashboard, which means I can never respond to responses or fight spam from my e-mail notifications.

OMG – I am really tired of getting FOUR emails every time an update is sent out on a topic. Must I just opt out of updates?? I’ve reported this on more than one occasion, but if it keeps happening, I guess that’s my only option. Disappointing, since I do especially like following the sales thread.

I am once again receiving no emails or updates. And if someone sends me a message on here, it shows up as two and one notification each time never goes away.

I found I am unable to add any information to my profile, not can I update my notification settings.
And this may not be a bug as such, but emails suggesting ingredients are all bouncing back (I have a few teas with unusual ingredients such as heather, seaweed and endive root)

Yeah the ingredient suggestion emails aren’t a thing anymore, but I can add them for you.

Not sure what’s going on with the profile situation though sadly. :(

No problem, the ingredients should be in the system now if you want to edit the teas and add them. That seaweed one sounds interesting!

thank you once again! I don’t think I can edit teas until my account it a wee bit older, but I can now go and correctly add a few more from my collection at least :)

Attempted to add a tea to the database today and continued to get an error that the tea could not be added. New bug?

Sometimes it happens to me as well. Usually trouble is in ingredients, so try to add it without them and add them after tea is added.

Trying to update profile and nothing has worked for over a week

El Bentivegna – just to note, it’s not really “the creators” of Steepster anymore – Adagio took over and bought Steepster, so it’s not really the problem of the creators anymore. But yes, an update would be nice from Adagio…

Understood. That’s irritating that there has been so little communication from Adagio. Why buy something and then leave it hanging?
