I really love milk oolong but sometimes find oolong too dark and astringent for me. I was pleased to find this blend mellowed it out perfectly, while maintaining the milk flavoring and not overpowering with jasmine. I was surprised by how much I liked the jasmine and milk together. I enjoy it straight as well as with just a tiny bit of sugar. I was also surprised to note how good it was cold—I left half a mug on the counter in the morning when I was rushing to work and found I liked it almost better when I got home that night because the flavors were more pronounced. I got this with my frequent steeper points and may have to use my next ones to get each of the components of this tea so I can mix it up again when I run out.

I’m not a tea sophisticate or snob. I like a few nice straight teas but by and large, I enjoy a fruity flavored tea, usually green or white (but most straight greens are just too vegetal/grassy for me), and often iced. I’ve mostly been collecting DAVIDsTEA lately because I was influenced by some friends who are fanatics and it is all over the place in Boston, plus I like the amount of fruit they use in their blends, but I’d love recommendations for other brands that know how to combine fruit and tea to great effect and am totally open to swaps to expose me to new things!

Right now, I am desperately seeking to swap for more of DAVIDsTEA Kiwi’s Big Adventure. I fell for it right as it was getting discontinued and I am nearly out. I will swap just about anything I have for as much of this tea as possible!
