drank Rooibos Vanilla by Tetley

The more I drank the more I appreciated how good this tea tastes.

There is a subtle sweetness along with a hearty wood flavor. The vanilla smell overpowers the rooibos but in the taste department the rooibos taste is still the primary flavor. I am looking forward to enjoying another cup of this tea in the near future.

drank Organic Oolong by T&T

This is a pure Organic Oolong tea. I really enjoyed this tea. The way I steeped it the tea was mild, smooth with a really beautiful after taste.

This tea is sold in a large box of 100 individually packaged tea bags. The box is sturdy sturdy and attractive and it will be perfect for storing ‘overflow’ tea that won’t fit into my regular tea box.

drank Jasmine Green Tea by Our Finest

This was a different combination. I finished the cup of tea but it really wasn’t my thing. I prefer pure green tea.

drank Chai Tea by Tetley
112 tasting notes

I recommend you go for Tetley’s Vanilla Chai tea rather than this. It tasted too bitter for me. I would have liked it better if there was a bit more of the spices and a bit less black tea.

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 5 min, 0 sec 9 OZ / 266 ML

Tastes great and smells even better.

This is a chamomile based tea with spearmint and a few other background flavors.

When I opened the package I smelt mainly spearmint but when I started steeping the tea the chamomile smell and taste became the more dominant with the spearmint more background. I barely noticed the other ingredients.

Flavors: Floral, Spearmint

Preparation
200 °F / 93 °C 5 min, 0 sec 9 OZ / 266 ML

Once again this is a pure peppermint tea but it just doesn’t taste quite as good or as smooth as the last few pure peppermint teas I drank. The ingredients says “Peppermint” and it almost tastes like it is made with a breath peppermint rather than peppermint leaves.

Flavors: Peppermint

Preparation
195 °F / 90 °C 6 min, 30 sec 10 OZ / 295 ML

This was a really pleasant lemon tea. It is called Lemon Zinger, I tasted the lemon but the way I prepared it I didn’t notice very much ‘zing’.

Flavors: Lemon

I just ordered a sampler pack from Celestial Seasonings and this one is in it. I’ll be interested to try it out!

Profile

Bio

I just recently got into tea (fall of 2015).

I love trying many types of tea. So far I have tried many Black, Oolong, Green and White teas as well as Yerba Mate, Rooibos, Honey Bush, Chamomile, Mint and fruit teas. I have liked good teas in almost every category. I don’t go for overly bitter/astringent, tart, or sweet teas and I never add milk/cream, sugar or other sweeteners to my tea.

Even though I have many excellent teas I always want to try a new one just to see what it tastes like and if I like it even better than my current favorites. Eventually I will focus more on drinking my favorites rather than always trying a different type of tea.

Ratings:

85+ Excellent and I will definitely repurchase soon so I don’t run out.

75-84 Really good and I will probably buy it again.

65-74 Good and I might buy it again but on the other hand maybe I won’t repurchase.

50-64 OK and I might finish the box.

1-49 Really did not like it at all. I probably dumped out the rest of the cup for the teas on the lower end of this range.

I am only doing one review per tea. If I drink it multiple times and my opinion changes then I will go back and update my rating and tasting notes.
