Having a relaxing cup of tea while I get in some reading tonight. Hoping for an early night to catch up on some much needed sleep. Still enjoying this one, but i’d like to finish it off soon so i can take a break from it before the fall rolls around again haha
Final Count: 111
last tea of the day…. figured i’d finish with another oldie AND a goodie :) It’ll start warming up soon, so i need to finish this one up soon :) still my favourite pumpkin tea – love the ginger in here.
Final Count: 114
the woman who makes it uses real pumpkin from her garden. Terri bought us an entire pound last year…we’re both still working through it i think haha
probably the last tea of the year since i’m finding myself more thirsty for water at the moment than anything. Figured i should pull out one of my old favourites in an effort to get closer to a sipdown with one of them instead of hoarding it. Still love this one…ginger and bits of real pumpkin! what’s not to love? now to settle in with a little tv before bed with my other half and rental dog. yay for quiet evenings in for new years.
Final Count:146
so much pumpkin around everywhere that i felt compelled to pull this one out today. Still my favourite pumpkin tea! I’m glad i still have a bunch of this left from when terri and i picked up a stupidly obscene quantity of this haha.
It’s so good, and honestly, I can’t believe we both still have some, LOL.
Especially when it’s getting close to a year since we got it!
It’s one of those teas that I drank a lot when we first got it in, then was like, “uh oh…I don’t want to drink it all and run out & have to wait for months to get more” so then I started rationing it out. Time to drink up!
uh… he doesn’t really like tea. he had one tea he liked.. that he drank twice in the two years we had it… mostly he appreciates tea for the joy it brings me lol
At least the one tea he likes isn’t the one you dislike, LOL
I’m talking about Tony & I and his love for earl grey :)
Not that I really mind, but any fantasies I’ve ever had of a romantic green tea ceremony, puerh session, or just sharing a pot of tea went out the window long ago. He has his teapot, I have mine. But at least I have a nice tray to carry our teapots & cups on, and we do drink tea together on the weekends. That’s good enough :)
Is there such a thing as an obscene quantity of tea? If so I have never heard of it and refuse to believe it exists!
Noms. Still love this one…so glad that Terri introduced me to it. I have enough to last me for a while yet thanks to her! it’s more delicious in the fall because of the flavour profile, but it’s still a tasty treat in the evenings :)
tea from last night and i am still in love. the fresh pumpkin chunks are delicious!
Final Count: 110 (which means i’m officially allowed to make purchases again AFTER i come up with a plan to get down to 50 by year end. heh)
this is back in my cupboard courtesy of terri and that makes me SUPER happy. This is especially potent since my previous experience with this tea was from a bag terri had already opened and shared with me. with this bag, it was sealed and super fresh. Opening it was an explosion of delicious ginger and pumpkin. i love this tea…it’s ginger and REAL pumpkin chunks…and spice. make no mistake, this is a pumpkin SPICE tea…but damn it’s good. thank you so much for this terri!
Final Count: 173
Final cup! Terri…grow some pumpkins and make her make like a pound of this. I’ll drive down and pick up half of it! lol Seriously though.. i love the pumpkin and ginger mingling and this one just makes me super happy in fall. like super duper happy. :) thanks for introducing this one to me terri!
Final Count: 154 ( 24 more to go by May 10…and then another 15 after that for the other half of may. except that i now have 7 teas incoming from Mandala, 2 from Verdant, 2 whispering pines…looking at a butiki order with uh 11 teas….plus there are a few more teas living with Terri and Cavo at the moment… crap crap crap lol)
Mini Goal for this weekend… get to 140
best. pumpkin. tea. ever. + ginger! i am going to be so sad when this is gone…which now that i’ve opened the pouch is going to be soon….TOOO SOON…
Final Count: still 141 sigh 11 more teas to go… but 1 swap and likely some purchases coming up…
since i was all “let’s dig into THE BOX” to celebrate 4k tasting notes, i may have pulled out 2 of my three teas. This being the second one, since if you’re going to go crazy and dig in to THE BOX, you might as well pull out more than 1 tea. haha This tea, in case anyone is wondering, is hands down the best pumpkin tea out there. PLUS it has the added bonus of having ginger in it – which makes all teas better imo (unless they’re dessert teas) AND it’s a rooibos tea.
I’ll have to agree, it is the number 1 pumpkin tea, without a doubt. I hope she makes it again when fall comes, & I may plant pumpkins this year, & give her some to make us a bunch of it! :)
that would be awesome Terri.
VariaTEA – mousse au chocolate – hard to get, expensive and probably my favourite chocolate tea. that being said, i also wouldn’t want it in copious quantities either as it would fade..
sil, can mouse au chocolat be purchased from most mf locations? or is it one of those teas that’s like “only available in one store in the world on October 4th at 5 mountain time” offerings?
It’s available all the time but it’s damn expensive…you can only buy it in ether tin and it’s like 25 euro for 100g? Ie. stupidly priced and not worth it, except as an indulgence heh
Sil, it takes two days and several pumpkins to make less than a pound of tea. I promise you, IT’S WORTH IT!
Mallory – the expensive comment was about mousse au chocolat.
I adore pumpkin ginger from travelling tea. It’s not 25 euro and IS way worth it :)
love. this. tea. seriously. Talk about tasting like actual pumpkin – which of course has something to do with the GIANT chunks of pumpkin in this. So happy terri shared this with me. I thought tonight’s cup would finish off what she sent me but i’ve got enough for another sil sized cup another night. Perfect, since i can resteep this tonight for a couple of cups of goodness.
Back to work tomorrow AND a friend of ours is coming to crash at our place since he still doesn’t have power. While i am totally cool with that, it also means i may need to go in to work tomorrow instead of working from home. but we’ll see.
and tomorrow i get to liberate my mail from jail! WOOHOO!
TERRI! I WANT MOAR! seriously..this is damn tasty! It’s my christmas mor-er-afternoon tea and this is so delicious. Please remind me next year we want lots of this. This might be my favourite pumpkin tea this year.
Edit: this resteeps really nicely since you can brew it and forget it lol This is pretty much all i’ve had since we got up this afternoon.
Sil, can you believe I still have some of this?
Should we do another crazy order this year?
I love this tea. It’s one of the only rooibos teas I enjoy, and I really do enjoy it. I’m pretty close to the bottom of the bag, and I think I should just go crazy drinking it every night for the next week or so, because hopefully there will be a new batch in my near future!
I had a wonderful day with my family, (4 adult kids, 3 grandkids, various significant O’s), with lots of delicious food. My last cup of tea today was this one, my favorite rooibos blend, an all natural combo of real roasted & dehydrated pumpkin (locally organically grown), pepita seeds, ginger & spices. It is delicious. It is made by a local company.
At this point I have to publicly apologize to Sil, because I still haven’t mailed her half of the order off. Sorry sister, I will hopefully get to the PO this week!
The final cup. So sad to see this one go. This calls for a hot bubble bath & iPad Mahjong. I’ll miss this tea, but hopefully it will return in the fall. Until then…
I am very intrigued..I love pumpkin teas, and ginger is my favorite ingredient in tea usually…does this local store have a website from which you can order online? For next year haha :D
Haha 8 oz?! Must be excellent tea! Lol I will have to wait before I even contemplate buying more tea..my friend has about 10 of my teas I got sent to her place and I should be receiving them this weekend, so I will have lots of tasting to do! And teas to sip down haha
Lena, the owner of the store has a tea blog at http://www.traveling-tea.com/
AND here’s the online catalogue

I work for Traveling Tea and WE HAVE SOME IN STOCK! We only make it once a year with pumpkins from one local farm, so if you want some, put in an order now. We just bought the last pumpkin of the season! Thanks for everything Terri!
…Sigh…. Sil, I need to send the BBBB on to you soon, or I will run out of the last of this & start drinking yours!
I wanted more Chai, but not more caffeine, so I simmered this, just like I did the Laoshan Village Chai, & it was delicious. I go through phases with chai. Year’s ago I used to mix up my own, now I’m thinking I want to do that again. This cool weather has me in a mood for it. I was also thinking…I wonder how chai would be using a smokey tea?
