My absolute flavour of tea. The Tea Table made a great blend that reminds me of my first Black Current experience in London.

What a delightful Mango tea. I had this both hot and cold-brewed and it was great either way. I appreciated that even when hot the mango runs the show, while the sweet hay notes accompany it in such an endearing fashion. Cold it really shines with no added sweeteners. I felt the base was of good quality too. All around an excellent tea for the cupboard! Just not mine right now, I’m on a buying ban. Ha Ha

Sipdown!

I like this tea. It is very unique I feel. I couldn’t add these to the flavours and scents tab but you do get a definite cumin hint and pistachio note. While I very much enjoy this tea I don’t feel it tastes at all like a cookie. It does have a faint buttery-ness but it is more of a spicy nut tea. I will likely buy this again, but not until I get a lot of sipdowns done!

Look at you and your sipdowns! Nicely done!

TeaNTees

Thanks, & you too Nichole! You’ve been kicking them back as well! :)

Nichole/CuppaGeek

Haha! I’m definitely trying. Hey hon, I sent you a PM back. See if you got it. If not, let me know and I’ll send it. I had a question for you.

TeaNTees

Hmm, nope. I haven’t gotten a PM from you in quite a while. What’s up?

TeaNTees

I sent you a PM; please let me know if you don’t receive it.

Tasted at Josephine House in Austin, TX.

I enjoyed this tea very much during my meal. The staff at Josephine House does all the steeping for you to make the perfect cup of tea. No loose strands to be found so no need to worry about over steeping. This was the tea I enjoyed during my meal, with its lightly smoky flavor and distinct woodsy taste.

I hated this tea. It did not taste like caramel at all to me. It had a mysterious flavour that I was not at all fond of, & it made my stomach upset. I will not try it again. It was one of the very few teas I’ve dumped out instead of finishing. I think I only have a little left and I will be putting it in the Not My Cup of Tea TTB when It comes to me. The Tea Table has many better teas than this.

This is just a weird tea. I can smell the butter, but I can’t really taste it. I don’t even know what I taste? As soon as the tea touches my tongue I get a mental image of emptying the pencil shavings from the metal pencil sharpener at my old grade school. That’s what the smell reminds me of. It’s drinkable and perhaps with a some sweetener it could really shine.

The reviews here are split on this one, some people really enjoy this! So for that, I recommend. Your taste may differ from mine. This will not be a re-buy for me.

Tastes almost like that chocolate cinnamon cake The Pioneer Woman bakes! Has a slight chai feel. I just wish it was a tad richer and creamier on it’s own. Of course, this can be fixed with some additions. I can see this being delicious mixed with equal parts of milk.

drank Rum Cream by The Tea Table

I can’t really taste any rum, but it IS flavored by something. Isn’t the worst tea I’ve ever drank, far from it, just nothing special. I drank it hot and plain. Perhaps adding some sweetener would help bring out the rum.

I ordered several samplers from this company and so far, this one is my favorite.

The flavors blend well and it has real orange taste. I think the sweetness is just right. I could see this being great iced, but haven’t tried that yet. Normally, I do not like orange flavored teas, they’re just awful in general to me. This one is almost like a delicious orange dessert.

I will probably order more once the sample runs out.

Second time trying this tea. Flavors are not prominent. Kinda harsh, too. Perhaps I seeped it too long. A little sweetener might help.

Still not sure how I feel about this particular tea company. I purchased many dessert type teas from them and they all come off a bit harsh. This one was one of the best ones of that purchase.

drank Earl Grey Oolong by The Tea Table
735 tasting notes

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been so quiet – I’ve kinda been on hiatus. It was getting to the point where I was stressing over finishing samples before reviewing them, so I basically said “Screw it, I’m going to enjoy my teas how ever I want!”

So, this is actually the second earl grey I’ve tried by The Tea Table, and I have been appalled both times. What in the hell are they using for bergamot? It tastes like straight up sunscreen. I couldn’t even finish it. And this is an oolong? It’s as dark as black tea in both leaf and liquor. There are no lovely woodsy, nutty, or flowery notes.

The Tea Table is so hit or miss. Though I’m starting to think it’s mostly miss.

Flavors: Orange, Sunscreen

Preparation
195 °F / 90 °C 3 min, 0 sec 3 tsp 24 OZ / 709 ML

Glad you see you around! Sometimes you have to take a break, though. I totally get that.

LOL @ sunscreen!

CHAroma

You know why a tea is marked “not recommended” when the flavors listed are orange and sunscreen. Yuck.

drank Chocolate Cream by The Tea Table

I’ve had better chocolate teas. Much, much better. There isn’t a chocolate flavor so much as there just is an odd one, and it seems a little fake, like a Tootsie Roll. Moreover, it doesn’t quite go with the tea itself, so this is nowhere as nice as it should be. It’s not terrible, but it doesn’t live up to expectations at all.

I’ll drink it, but I don’t think I’ll ever order it again. Sticking to S&V for my chocolate teas, since I like the taste of the flavoring they use.

drank Caramel by The Tea Table
735 tasting notes

This was a free sample from my last Tea Table order. Caramel is one of my absolute favorite flavors, so I jumped on getting to try this.

Yay, it’s one of those caramel teas with the little cubes of actual candy mixed in! It was hard to not pick them out and eat them on the spot. The dry tea smells authentic and toasty. Like stovetop caramel, none of that cellophane-wrapped stuff you got in your Trick Or Treat basket and never ate.

I used a pretty good amount of tea, 3 teaspoons, since I was making it iced. It’s too hot for anything else down here this time of year. After sweetener and ice, it got a taste test and I immediately thought of *Liberteas*’ Sweet Caramel Of Mine. Damn, I miss that tea! While it doesn’t taste quite as toasted as that, it has that wonderful lightly “burnt” flavor. The caramel is creamy, malty, and decadent.

For the price, I think this might turn out to be my mainstay caramel tea. Here’s to another Tea Table order and more samples, haha!

drank Vanilla Chai by The Tea Table
735 tasting notes

Ok, I admit I bought this just so I could pick out 3 samples from The Tea Table. I mean, it’s vanilla chai, how could you go wrong?

And as I expected, I did not go wrong in my selection. It smells delicious. But the scent of the dry leaves and spices doesn’t reflect any vanilla to me. It smells like plain chai. This isn’t much of a letdown, though, because I love chai in pretty much any form. I smell cardamom, cinnamon, and a bit of ginger.

After ice, real sugar, and a splash of 1% milk, I gave it a go. The vanilla still doesn’t really stand out to me. I can smell it before I take a sip, but I can’t really taste it, unfortunately. I do get a pleasant burn from the ginger and other spices, though. That’s very nice. It’s certainly on the mild side for chai, even with 4 tsp. in 16 ounces of water and milk, but it’s not bad. I will be coming back to The Tea Table for sure, if only just to explore more samples. It’s fun stuff!

The Assam-est Ceylon I’ve had. I didn’t even know that was a thing. I got a bit of this in a sampler pack from The Tea Table. I’ll definitely finish the sample bag I’ve got, but it’s too soon to say if I’ll order more.

From TeaNTrees bc it was supposed to be a small “Here I have teas, take some!” thing to a LET’S DO A FULL ON SWAP sort of thing :)

I’m drowning in schoolwork and I need tea to keep me company, so this one it is! Just a nice rooibos so I can sleep tonight :)

I got a lot of rooibos, not so much Cream Caramel :( that always tends to happen with me and rooibos teas! It smells great, but then it all just goes away once you steep it :(

drank Kiwi Black Tea by The Tea Table
735 tasting notes

This is a free sample I received with my last Tea Table order. I am such a sucker for tea companies that let you pick freebies! When I picked this out, I didn’t read the description completely. My thought process was basically “Kiwi tea? I’ve never had that! Done!” And so it arrived.

The scent of it really is unique. It smells very fruity and “tropical” for lack of a better word. I definitely do smell kiwi, but also pineapple. Yum! The pineapple was a bit of a surprise, as were the lime leaves. Another first there!

The flavor is lighter than I expected, with a hint of the kiwi’s tartness. You know how a kiwi is sweet, tart, and bitter all at the same time? This tea is sort of like that. Kiwi flavor is in the forefront, followed by pineapple, and banana. There are no banana ingredients in this, but I swear the notes are there. Or maybe I’m crazy. (That’s more likely.) I can’t say I taste the lime or blackberry leaves over the fruit, but I know they’re not really strong flavors to begin with.

Anyway, I don’t know if I’d come back for more of this, but it was a nice experience. I’ll definitely be back to The Tea Table for more samples!

This tea smells great before brewing. It has a distinct grape aroma and I was hoping that I finally found a grape flavored tea that actually tastes good! Well, I brewed the tea and it still smelled great, but it tastes like rose and white tea. The rose flavor overpowered everything else in the cup. I couldn’t even taste the green tea in it. I shared this cup with a friend and they really enjoyed the tea. The tea tastes good, but it definitely didn’t taste as advertised, so I’ll save a recommendation either way.

Have you tried any of Lupicia’s grape teas? Napa Blanc is amazing.

kieblera5

I’ve never ordered from Lupicia before. How is the grape flavor? If I drink something that’s supposed to taste like grape, I want it to have a strong grape flavor.
