This was never great, but it’s gotten a bit worse with time. The amaretto flavor has nearly faded, and there is a strange aquatic/saline quality, despite this being a black tea. I have enough for one more cup, but I’m probably going to say goodbye.

Working on sipping through this. As strong as the amaretto smells, it just doesn’t have the flavor I’m hoping for. Not bad, but not something I will repurchase.

I didn’t enjoy this cup quite as much as the last one. I didn’t add any honey this go around, and it really seems to need it to bring out the amaretto flavor.

My boyfriend and I drove to Solvang a couple of weeks ago. Nothing was open except for a few shops and bakeries, but it was nice to get out of the house. I bought lots of incredible pastries and some fresh bread, and stopped at the Solvang Spice Merchant. I’ve been extremely interested in herbs/spices lately, plus they had tea! I bought a couple spices, as well as this tea. It was pretty expensive ($11/ounce). But, I was interested in the flavor profile, and I’m all for supporting small businesses.
It has a lovely, strong amaretto flavor. The flavor is as I expected. The base tastes like a standard Assam. Both the amaretto and cinnamon are light.
