I gave it a low rating because I don’t like flavored black teas – take that into consideration. I was given the tea bag which does not contain an ingredients list, so I did not know this was black tea.

fruit tea with honey and lemon this time. not my favourite, bit too sour for my taste. than again, this one have been in my collection for years now, it has possibly lost its flavour on the wait. i was actually surprised when i read it should have some vanilla in it. so i think that’s what happened. too bad.

This was a good tea, but when I steeped it, it put on a rather different colour than I expected…Adding milk did nothing to the taste, which is almost exactly like black tea, with the addition of an aftertaste.

Just a fine Earl Grey, but not revolutionary.

My personal favorite when it comes to rooibos. My experience is that it gets even better when you let it steep for a longer period of time.

More orange than peppermint; otherwise, generally mild-tasting. Sometimes I just want to drink something that isn’t too strong and like other Pickwick teas, this fits that bill just right.

I just ordered this to go from a small cafe. It ended up being perfectly fine. I liked that it had a light, not overwhelming, bergamot flavor. I didn’t use milk or sugar. The base tea, however, was weak. It lacked oomph.

I’m almost finished with this box, and am rather sad to see it go. It’s a warm, winter brew that is well-balanced. The orange and spices give this tea a Christmas-y taste. Which is really great when Tuesday’s acting like a Monday.

…Yuck.
I swear to God that I only steeped it for like 2-3 min. It’s awfull, I tell you.
Some things have feelings engraved to them and this has HATE blended into it.
(It’s sour, salty and astringy and taste of nothing but unloved, unprotected tea.)

There is really only one thing left to say: NEVER AGAIN!
It’s so awfull, in fact, that this will be my ratingssystems bottom!

(… Go to hell english breakfast by Pickwick)

Rabs

Wow. A “1” and a damnation. Sorry you went through that :(

Angrboda

Blended with hate. Hee! The awful ones are often the best. :p

Rijje

… I really should learn to stay away from pickwick.
But I craved tea, and it was the only one on the shelf :(

And yes, it’s awesome to be a little mad at awefull teas.
I like to type really LOUDLY on the computer… It’s fun

KeenTeaThyme

Thanks for taking one for the team so no one else has to suffer. I hope you blended up your favorite tea to rid your tastebuds of the stench!

LENA

LOL…your post had me laughing and THEN I read the comment from Rabs. Sooo funny!

I neeever saw a black tea with jasmine. Have you?
Should be packing now, we bought a new apartment, and we are moving tomorrow. (it’s actually 3 in the morning over here and I should also be sleeping) but oh well.

Back to the note.
I was not able to see the color of this tea, but I am guessing BROWN. I sniffed at the teabag (God, it’s a oldfasion teabag) and I can’t detect any jasmine at all. Took a sip or two and tried really hard to find the jasmine flavor but to no avail.

No jasmine.

Bummer. They get one star for trying. (Out of TEN!)
Black tea and jasmine… never saw that before…

Cofftea

Yep I have. Couldn’t give you a brand name off the top of my head though lol.

Angrboda

Well… It is Pickwick.

Cofftea

Angrboda, I meant yes I’ve seen one other than this. If I meant this particular tea Iwould have said, “Yes I’ve seen (or drank) this before.”

Angrboda

My comment was in reply to Rijje’s post.

Cofftea

Ah ok sorry. I didn’t catch the connection so I thought it was directed at me.

Angrboda

Pickwick is one of the most common teabag brands here. Think Lipton. Most people who have had better stop expecting ambrosia and nectar from Pickwick.

Rijje

Aww… Just moved to another place and haven’t logged on before now!
Cofftea – did you try another brand? Did that taste good?

And yes Anrboda… It IS pickwick. I don’t know what went through my head when I made it! Thank god it’s not my tea (it was on the shelf of my workplace)

Cofftea

No Rigge- I didn’t. I’m not a fan of non chai flavored blacks, sorry.

Rijje

Oh! Okay, I misunderstood your post then ;)
Well we’re opposites then. I have a hard time drinking chai for the moment.

This Tea have a strong taste of Lemon.

When I drink this Tea, I get a image in my head, of the Lemon Crescent cake (Citronhalvmåne), but with a stronger touch of Lemon.

I’m not sure, about I will drink this Tea again.
But it’s not a bad Tea.

This Pickwick bagged Tea, smells wonderful of Southern Fruits across the room!

This Tea is actually one of the best fruity Teas, I’ve tried.
No sweeteners added.

My mouth feels a little dry after this Tea, but it’s okay.
Second sip, it wasn’t dry anyway.
I think it was the combination of the Tea, and the bread I were eating.

I picked this up in Jungle Jim’s, a giant “foodie” indoor market. It’s a humble, plain tea, as billed by the bags’ description of “liquorice with Ooolong tea blend.” Ignoring the box’s instructions to brew it at an alarming 1000 C (computer translation typo?), it’s a relaxing, lightly woody brew and, at a low price, I can forgive the absence of heartiness I like in licorice.

Your standard black tea. Has a nice sharp taste to help wake you up in the morning, for the rest nothing too special. I usually like pickwick teas for their strong smells (doesn’t always transfer over to strong taste), but this one doesn’t really have that.

Grabbed 1 single bag from the TTB just because I have never had it before. It doesn’t have any scent to it. It brews a light brown. It tastes like warm water with a little lemon. Not too sure about this. It’s not gross, but it’s not good.

I’m drinking this now…grabbed a bag because I really don’t have access to much PICKWICK stuff believe it or not…

Yes, it’s bagged, but I am getting more and more lazy as the day progresses. This isn’t too bad, really. It smells like MELON scented chapstick I had when I was a kid. The aroma is the plus here…the taste is fairly average.

drank Christmas by Pickwick

I’m bagging it this morning on purpose so that I can get my chores done instead of hanging around on Steepster all day, writing novel-length reviews.

In the season spirit I found this ancient bag of christmas tea which I figured I’d be able to drink without the urge to elaborate on to the usual extreme.

No clue what’s in it, but being a christmas tea I think we can all make some educated guesses. I find that it smells like cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and dentist. No, really. That smell when you walk into a dentist’s clinic. There’s something orange-y underneath also, I think.

It kind of tastes like dentist too. You know that stuff they use when they polish the teeth? Imagine that cinnamon-flavoured. I think, though, that if the bags hadn’t been as old as they are, the dentist-y flavour would have been different, hopefully not present at all. I’ll finish my cup because I need it, but I can’t rate it higher than this.

takgoti

Tea that reminds me of the dentist’s office would make me a little depressed.
