Very pronounced tart, sweet citron/lemon flavor that works well with the green/black mix. At first I thought the marigold (I guess?) was a hint of oregano and later seemed to be more thymey. O’sulloc’s base teas are good but nothing truly exceptional.

It was raining today so I decided to try this one.

The aroma of cinnamon and apple is nice on a cold, rainy day. The ingredients list 후발효차 as the main ingredient, which I believe is post fermented tea. Black tea is listed as the second ingredient.

Overall, this tea is dominated by Cinnamon and Apple, but it is tamed a bit by the tea leaves. I always find Apple Cinnamon herbal teas to be a bit too overwhelming so this is nice for those that like apple and cinnamon but want some actual tea somewhere in the mix.

A fragrant, light and crisp Tea.

Well blended. I am not entirely sure this is black tea, it tastes a bit like green but more fermented.

The Pineapple flavoring isn’t heavy and lends a clean taste to this light tea.

This is one of my favourite teas – if only it was easier to obtain!
Upon opening the package, there is a wonderful scent of kyoho grapes. Drinking this tea makes me feel like I’m eating kyoho grapes.

An interesting blend of flowers and green tea.

As soon as I opened the packaging, a burst of sweet flowery smells greeted me. I think that if they made a candle with this fragrance, it would be popular.

I do think that the green tea leaves that are paired with these flowers is a bit too strong. If the green tea they chose was a bit smoother, and didn’t leave a pungent bitter taste/smell, I would rate this at least 10 points higher.

Otherwise, this is an above average tea.

I had it at an O’Sulloc cafe, not knowing it was an oolong blend (I was expecting it to be green). It has zero sweeteners, yet has sweet fragrance from the tangerine peel and blossom. It leans more on the sweet and fragrant side than the pungent side like some citrus teas.

The Citron reminds me of a smooth grapefruit flavor, very deep and sweet, tart, but not sour. The Green Tea is blended well and is still there. I like this blend.

This reminds me of some of the Lupicia blends but this is a bit more mellow and subtle.

The citrus fruit flavors are present but the green tea is still the main flavor here; an excellent blend.

A well balanced fruit blend. Not too fruity; it still has tea flavoring – the mellow mango and papaya are not sickly sweet like other blends I’ve tried.

For a key to my rating scale, check out my bio.

This was the first Korean tea I ever tasted, and I was pleasantly surprised. It shares many of the flavor characteristics of a Chinese Dragonwell, but with a very pleasant head note of sweet corn.

Second time trying this and it feels like the tangerine notes are less. I suspect its because this is a sample thats been stored in a ziploc bag. I really wish there was an easier way to store samples without losing their flavour. Might have to search for some small airtight tins or something, don’t want to start buying more airtight glass jars as they take up quite a bit of room and the smallest sizes at the dollar store are too large for a few grams of tea anyway.

Flavors: Candy, Orange

I use these for small samples and they’re awesome. Totally impermeable, so you don’t get any smells leaking or degradation that happens so fast in regular ziplock bags http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wholesale-Lot-of-95-Silver-tone-Ziplock-Packaging-Wrapping-Gift-Bags-Pouches-/350682101059?ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:US:3160

ooo nice thanks Anlina ! Liquid Proust suggested the same thing :D

This is such a heavenly tangerine infused tea.

Its a dried tangerine peel with oolong blend. The dry blend notes smell clearly of sweet, dried citrus. When steeped, the citrus flavour reminds me of candied orange pieces, that with some floral-ness of the oolong combines nicely for a fruit-forward floral tea.

When steeped a second time, the citrus is definitely more muted, but the oolong still brews up wonderfully. Didn’t get the chance to try a 3rd infusion (tea sampling party was the occasion here) but I got a small sample to try out at home and will report that back in a later tealog.

The colour is so pretty as well, a golden orange clear liquor.

drank Candy Black Tea by OSULLOC

This is almost a good tea; just barely misses the mark. When you open the package, it has a very aromatic scent of sugary candy and a slight floral smell; very nice. Upon tasting, though it has an odd mellow flavor like licorice, the black tea is subdued to where I can’t really taste it, and there is tart aftertaste. Not a bad tea, just needs a bit more black tea in my opinion.

For me this tea was not as exciting as the Orchid Green Tea from the same brand. Granted, the leaves (green tea, cornflower, marigold and bits of rose petals) are high quality and they’re very pretty to look at whether dry or steeped. However, I felt like the fragrance was a little too all over the place. It smells like a mixture of bunch of flowers and fruits that I can’t pinpoint which sort of note, and to my taste it didn’t go well with green tea leaves. Somebody titled this “Korean Wedding Green Tea” but this is just a Wedding green tea blend and the flower petals used in this blend are not traditionally Korean culinary ingredients.

One of my top favorite green teas. I have a cup in front of me right now! The tea is so beautifully fragrant, the scent of orchid and green tea goes so well together. When it brews, you can see that the leaves are high quality. As for the color, it’s quite bright green for a green tea. The dry leaves, a mixture of marigold petals and green tea leaves, are very pretty to look at. I love this as a morning tea,to have it with desserts, or to enjoy alone as it is. The only problem is it’s quite pricey and hard to come by.

The moment I opened the package, a strong scent of fruity grape overcomes me. It took me awhile to identify the scent.. is it some berry scent? or is it pomegranate? After a moment i concluded it’s a grape scent, but strange thing was, grape was not a part of this tea! I was not expecting such a sweet fruity scent but since I generally enjoy fruit infusion tea, I really liked it. When dry it’s a light brown tea leaves with strands of cornflowers inside a triangle tea bag. When I brew it, the fruity grape scent remains just as intense and it filled the whole room with it’s beautiful fragrance. In my humble opinion, it’s not possible to over-brew this tea.. even if i soaked it in the teacup for a prolonged period, the darkest it gets is a light golden brew…

This is not a sweeten tea, but when I drink it, i felt there was a subtle hint of sweetness (most likely from its scent) with a touch of dry mouthfeel from the green tea. Very unique and enjoyable blend. Highly recommended!

Happy Easter! Where we are, Easter Sunday is more often sullen, soggy, and cold than it is sunny, cloudless, and dry. My poor little fifth grade girls wandered in to class today with their sleeveless dresses and flip flops, blue from the chill! (You’d like this bunch. They’re rowdy, noisy, hilarious, and smart. )

So a warm beverage is definitely in order this afternoon.

By all rights, my packet of this should be exhausted and tasteless. But it must be made with pixie dust, because every time I unearth it from the bottom of my green tea menagerie, it smells fruity and sweet, and still tastes a little cotton candy-ish and a little fruit punchy. Perfect for the day.

Be joyful, whatever kind of sky is above you today.

Can’t find a description of this one; could be on their website, but since my knowledge of Korean is nonexistent…

Dry, it looks like a party and smells like fruit punch. Decently long green leaves with calendula and cornflowers and pink things and fruit bits and other happy things.

No directions; gave it a three minute steep at a just-cool-enough-to-do-green temperature, and ohhh! Sweet fruitiness. Candy. Been a long time since the last one that made my eyes roll back in my head due to its sheer decadence.

This one was, literally, buried treasure. Had been in the basket for two years, unopened. But due to decent packaging (foil pouch inside fancy cardboard “tin” inside cellophane) it retained first-day fresh quality…or if had lost quality, wowie kazowie, it must be beyond superlative when it’s new.

First experience with O’Sulloc anything; they appear to operate without many U.S. outlets. Further research pending. This is too good to drink once and let go.

A very nice change up on floral greens, they variety pack had one with fruit and green. This one is really nice. The fruit is sweet, without being aggressive or syrupy, and without detracting from the mild, smooth green at the bottom. The combination makes it something fabulous. I’m so glad I had a whole box of this one.

This one is pretty much as it reads on the label. It’s very mild green. Good for slow, calm mornings, but not impressive enough to need restocking.

This one was definitely interesting. I won’t say favorite or even one I’d necessarily need more of, but it was a unique experience. The flavor, every time I took a sip, left me with the feeling of having just eaten flower heads or petals.
