“want some tea? I got a whole bunch of new ones” got to be one of my favourite tea related sentences to hear from international friends.
This fruity tea from Slovakia is absolutely stunning.I slightly oversweetened it, but it’s like drinking a warm berry juice. The rosehip takes the forefront in a warming fashion with the elderberry giving a delicate kick in the back. I love it!

I found this while going through my stuff and I was amused at the fact I had a Slovakian tea bag. No idea where on earth I got it, so of course one of my friends said I had to try it and give a full report.

It’s hibiscus and berries, I learned, far too late. Should have just gone to their website and hit google translate first. The berry mix it claims to have is intriguing, but this is the color of a tea that’s just hibiscus. And given the very powdered ingredient content of the tea bag, I don’t know how any berry could ever come through.

But hey, I’ve had tea from Slovakia now.

Actually now that it’s cooled quite a bit, I can actually taste blackberry and maybe some raspberry, but it’s really tart.
