Very elegant organic herbal tea. Blend of white and green teas and green rooibos leads to an herbal tea overpacked with antioxydants. Hence the name “Natural Beauty”.
Very tasty and easy to drink. Fruity but sweet taste is not overwhelming. Was not a huge fan of Lov Organic (sister company of Kusmi Tea) before but now I became a LovOrganic-addict! Try it you’ll love it :-)

drank Orange - Cinnamon by Løv Organic

I’m almost out of this tea! It’s a nice blend — a sophisticated version of the orange spiced variety. Not as sweet as most, but with a nice richness instead. Sometimes I have it with milk and/or sugar, which brings out different elements, but today I’m just having it straight. I’m enjoying it. It’s a little earthy, very rich, like I said, and a nice amount of orange and spice nonetheless.

I love (*snerk *) that Lov Organic actually seals its tins with ring pull tops, as it keeps the tea so fresh (even though opening one feels a bit like opening a can of soup). The dry tea smells like orange juice concentrate but when the water was added the cinnamon really comes out – it’s all very Christmas-y. Flavour-wise it works out to be heavier on the citrus than the cinnamon but they compliment each other well. The black tea base is pretty bland and average like with most flavoured teas, but altogether it works out well.

As a huge ginger fan, I was deceived by the taste. Lov Organic is a great brand though, but this was a deception for me.

drank Liquorice Earl Grey by Løv Organic
1908 tasting notes

With the triple whammy of licorice root/anise/and fennel I was expecting this tea to be more strongly licorice-flavoured than it was. Instead, however, the citrusy bergamot is still the most prominent flavour in this tea and the licorice is a more a slightly spicy afterthought, making this blend more interesting than your typical earl grey. I’m glad that they didn’t overdo it with the licorice root as its sweetness can completely take over a tea. Instead the licorice flavour is more spicy than sweet, characteristic of fennel seeds.

An interesting take on a classic tea.

This has stayed in my cupboard for too long! I am not going to take it to my new home so I am trying my best to finish it. A spicy tisane that is also pretty sweet, thanks to the presence of licorice. Even though I am hardly a fan of licorice, it makes the tea more approachable… otherwise I don’t think I can finish even a single cup with all the cloves, cardamom, aniseed and fennel.. still, it’s a mistake for me to buy this tea given that I don’t really enjoy tea with so much spices…

Finally, a more likeable tea by Løv Organic! Simply because it is plain black tea so it can’t go TOO wrong. It doesn’t specify what kind of black tea it is but the hint of dried plum makes me think of Keemun. The flavour of black tea aside, it has a special kind of exotic smell/taste that I notice in all teas by Løv Organic… logically it has to be the smell/taste of muslin bags (cos I am drinking their bagged teas. I should try their loose tea some day to see if there’s any difference)! It isn’t all that pleasant to have this strange taste in my cup I must say…

drank Løv is Zen by Løv Organic

I am trying to like Løv Organic’s teas, but it seems that all of their teas taste quite unconventional… I am not sure if it has anything to do with their organic nature. Though their herbal teas are supposed to be their signature blends, I have not yet tasted one that I really like :( This tea tastes more like a tisane than a rooibos. It’s light-bodied, with an undercurrent of zesty orange, apple and some herbal flavours. No sign of caramel, but it is very sweet indeed. If you like tisane you may find it ok… just not my cup of tea.

When I arrived in their shop, I also really wanted to like them.
However most of them were heavily spiced and did not really appeal to me. I bought the only one without a cloying spice scent and am wondering now whether I should throw the remainder of the pack away, as I do not enjoy drinking it.

cteresa

You guys know Løv Organic is by the same people as Kusmi? Just mentioning it because the Lov tisanes I have had (just a couple) seem very similar to the Kusmi tisanes (And their detox, boost, whatever new teas lines). Not my cup of tea to be honest, though the tins do cause me to try to love those!

LaFleurBleue

Thanks for sharing that Cteresa, I did not know.
It gives me one more reason to doubt my friend’s opinion on Kusmi Detox tea…

Devilish

Yes cteresa I know it’s Kusmi’s sister label! That’s why I try so hard to love it because I am a fan of Kusmi (never tried their tisanes though)… :( and yeah, I am a sucker for packaging…

LaFleurBleue, I totally agree with you – it’s that spiciness that really bothers me. Even their black teas seem to have hints of spice or herbal flavours. Weird…

cteresa

I am not a fan of Kusmi (though I am of their tins. sucker for packaging as well) so been pretty wary of Lov as well – but if you check the newer Kusmi teas (sweet love, detox, boost) it´s also of the same “philosophy”, often with spices like cinnamon or ginger or liquorice, random flowers, and other things.

Devilish

Oh really… I have not tasted their newer teas either – their Russian teas are wonderful enough to turn me into their fan! :P After reading your comment, I am glad that the tins for the newer teas aren’t as lovely so I have never thought of buying them!

A wonderfully soft tea, with a beautifully light flavour – a bit fruity but not overwhelming. this is the newest tea in the Wellness collection. i got a small sample from the Kusmi boutique in Montreal, where they have started selling Løv stuff (i dont know if its the same company?? you can’t buy the loose stuff in bulk – only in the pre-packed tins). and i will definitely be going back to get a bigger thing of this… the price point is not very inviting, but i think it could be a beautiful treat for myself.

While visiting her, one friend brought me to a Lov Organic shop, close to Les Halles in Paris. I really liked the promise : everything organic, good quality product, etc. We spent a little while in the shop where I smelled 10 to 15 blends. Most of them did not suit me at all, as they smelled really spicy and to my opinion too heavy on the spice. I especially remember one where the cinnamon smell was so strong, I did not even need approaching the box from my nose; I do not remember its name however.
Lov is pure was the only tea that I felt like drinking and thus purchased this day.
The blend is a bit unusual (to my opinion), as it contains rather large pieces of dry fruit (apple). Some of the leaves are almost complete (up to 1.5 cm); some (is it mate?) are cut into very small but rather thick pieces.
I forgot sometimes the infuser a little too long in the pot and that is not something to be done, as the brew turns bitter.
The color is a clear greenish-yellow. The smell isa bit tangy; it really is perfect to convey the message this is a detoxifying and purifying though enjoyable drink. When smelling it, I feel like in an expensive spa ;)
The taste is rather nice, provided it was not steeped too long. It tastes really green, the citrus and the apple bring a subtle flavor, less noticeable at tasting than at smelling.
However and this explains my so-so rating, I never could drink an entire tea-pot and had always more than enough after 1 to 2 cups, as if my body was telling me it was clean enough and did not need any more of this brew.
To my opinion, this is a tea that caters only for some moments, like late-morning and definitely neither breakfast, nor late afternoon / evening.
I’ve tried it iced and it really works well – the tangy and very light sweetness brought by the apple being perfect to make it very refreshing. I could drink it more easily and in larger quantities as well, than when hot.
I’ll not buy it again when I will have managed to finish the bag, after drinking it more than 3/4th iced. I do not believe I’ll try another one from the same company either.

never tried LOV brand – I wasn’t attracted by their flavors- At least their tins are really cute.

LaFleurBleue

I bought only a bag; so I do not even have the pleasure of looking at a cute tin. Anyway it was lime green for the tea and it’s not a color I really like anyway ;)

It’s drinkable, but I don’t fancy this flavour of jasmine. It’s a little bitter; could be better with sugar, but I don’t add sugar to my tea, so if it isn’t good without it, there lies my conclusion.

This must be spearmint, and a lot of it. Wonderful minty smell out of the bag. I was super excited to see the leaf of the green was in beautiful shape. I steeped it for 3 minutes in my ingenuiTEA. The smell is wonderful. Was kind of shocked that there was some bitterness. I have to assume the water was too hot. Maybe the second steep will be better. I really hope so because it smells so promising!

Second steep + 3 minutes = REDEMPTION

I started off my AWESOME, FANTASTIC day with a cup of this and ended it with GETTING A JOB. Gah, I am so excited. I start at 11 tomorrow morning!

So, on to the tea. I really enjoyed this one! It was fruity and not at all bitter. I only got to drink about half of a cup, because then my sister in law arrived and I got distracted making butternut squash soup, and then I was kidnapped to go shopping XD. But what I had, I liked! I would buy again, if only for the cute tin. Also, cute tin + 100g of tea for $15? Yes please! Some of the other varieties were only $10. We picked this up at the Blue Banana in Kensington on our unintentional tea crawl on Sunday.
