I had to pick up a box of this when I found it on sale at the grocery store because of the name! Melissa means honeybee in Greek and there’s a genus of plants that uses the name.

This is a pretty mild tea, which I appreciated as sometimes turmeric can be overwhelming. The lemon balm flavor was not as strong as the turmeric though, do it didn’t feel quite balanced and I found it underwhelming. Adding a splash of cream made the lemon flavor disappear entirely. Not an unpleasant cup, but overall pretty forgettable.

Picked up this bag from a TTB! This tastes like pickles. The only ingredient is arnica, which I’m not familiar with. Cold, it’s refreshing, but slightly more pickley than I’d prefer.

That’s really interesting about the pickle flavor! Was it more cucumber-ish or dill-like? (Just not sure what kind of pickles you eat.). The Arnica (Heterotheca inuloides) ingredient is a flowering plant native to Mexico, and reported elsewhere to relieve bruises, reduce pain, reduce inflammation, and cleanse, detox & drain the lymphatic system. Did you experience any of that?

I would say closer to dill! Interesting, nah I don’t tend to think that teas with supposed health benefits do anything, especially not a single cup of one.

I did one time, long ago, have to have my lymphatic system detoxed. There was blood poisoning. But that required hospitalization for three days and an IV drip! I don’t think a cup of tea would have done the trick.
