I got this sample for review.
Dry leaves are nice, long, smell of hay and slight tobacco
brewed in my yixing pot. 5g/80ml off boil, rinse and very short steeps. I was keeping my lid off between steeps to avoid cooking leaves.
the brew was golden color, medium thickness. Smooth, barely detected any bitterness or astringency. some slight tobacco, honey and citrus. very pleasant and refreshing.
This sheng is very easy to drink and would be perfect for someone new to raw puerh.
it went thru about 10 steeps but unfortunately i was interrupted and had to stop.
Thank you Great Horse Teas for the opportunity to sample this sheng.

i got this sample along with other tea i “won” on IG. I didnt answer the question 100% right but the winner was so generous and passed it on me. Tea people are awesomely generous!

Im a big fan of Yancha. i always eager to try since its so different and so delicious.
When i opened the pocket i was smelling it at least for 15 min. Crazy right? like i have nothing to do! but the aroma is incredible. roasted nuts and cannabis!
I had to look thru my window in a case someone was smoking a pot right outside. no, the street was empty, haha

my usual Yancha parameters
6g 100ml gaiwan, 195F rinse/ short steeps 3/5/7/10/15 etc

it is sweet, roasty nuts, some earthiness and mineral notes in later steeps.
i enjoyed it a lot.

Thank you Great Horse Tea for sharing this sample with me. Goes on my wishlist!
