I’ve had this twice now, and it’s certainly tasty (the banana flavor is noticeable), but it’s not a stand-out delicious tea. The second time I had it with the slightest pinch of sugar (I could see this getting syrupy easily), which helped but I felt like it could use more. I think there’s probably a very exact amount of sugar for this (and I don’t know what that is yet) to make it perfect.

drank Razzleberry Genmaicha by 52teas

I like genmaicha a lot and I thought I would prefer plain genmaicha to berry genmaicha, but I was to surprised to find that I enjoyed this a lot. It tasted like genmaicha + berries (as simple as that). While I might still prefer plain genmaicha, this is perfectly tasty.

If you want the rest of this let me know. I did not like it very much.

Sure, but there’s no hurry. You just went to the post office so we can wait. :)

I blended this with Teavana’s Blueberry Bliss to make an iced tea. My memory is not great, but here’s what I think I did: About 4 tsp of Blueberry Bliss and 3 tsp of Watermelon Mint Chiller, plus three or four tsp of rock sugar. This was with ~30oz of water. After steeping, I put it in the fridge for a few hours.

I’m really enjoying the resulting iced tea. I’m not sure I would like this “watermelon” (the ingredient list includes over half a dozen fruits, none of which are watermelon) tea plain, just like I’m not a huge fan of Blueberry Bliss plain. I suppose there are just some teas that are best mixed. In any case, the combination of these two makes for an extremely tasty iced tea.

This is such a great tea. I like it sweetened with rock sugar, and while it doesn’t need half-and-half, it is such a deliciously decadent treat when it’s made creamy. I never get tired of this tea. However, I think I should have steeped it just a little longer this morning (or used more leaves) because it was a a bit on the weak side.

drank Blueberry Black by Capital Teas

I like this tea. The black tea flavor isn’t too strong and the blueberry is subtle but good. I made it with just a smidgen of rock sugar (I suspect it would taste syrupy with a full teaspoon). Perhaps I will mix this with Teavana’s Blueberry Bliss rooibos to bring out the blueberry flavor more. (And silentrequiem said this is a good candidate for iced tea, so that may be what I do with this next.)

drank Persian Nectar by SerendipiTea

Yesterday I had this tea hot (without sugar), and it was pretty good. It was very smooth for a black tea (it had none of the bitter smokiness that I don’t like about many black teas). The pear flavor was light but good.

I read another review recommending this tea iced, so I used the rest of my sample to make a container of iced tea last night. This time I added rock sugar while it was steeping. I’m drinking it now (I left it in the fridge overnight) and it is quite tasty as an iced tea. The pear flavor is enhanced nicely by the rock sugar. Pretty good. Not crazy good, but it’s something to keep in mind if I’m looking for good iced teas next summer.

This is a nice tea. I thought it was only a green tea so I’d meant to steep it for no more than 2 minutes, but I accidentally forgot about it and let it steep for 5 minutes. It wasn’t bitter at all, but the fruit flavor was VERY strong. (Perhaps a little too strong.) I resteeped the leaves for about 3 minutes and the resulting tea was quite nice. After reading that almonds were in this tea, I thought I could detect their flavor.

I think my palette must not be very refined, because lately all the sweet-flavored black teas I’ve had have tasted the same. This tastes like black tea with a sweet syrupy flavor (I added just a pinch of sugar; I’ve learned from the others that a full tsp makes it too syrupy sweet). This tea is not bad, but it doesn’t distinguish itself from others I’ve had recently.

The jasmine flavor in this tea is delicious, and the black tea flavor (which I usually dislike) isn’t too strong. The green tea seems to mellow out the black tea flavor nicely. Today I finished my sample of this, and while I enjoyed the sample I won’t be buying more. I prefer plain jasmine green tea.

I started drinking loose leaf tea in December 2011. I usually use Teavana’s Perfect TeaMaker at home, and their Remi Mug at work. Some day I would like to have a cast iron set… a red one with dragons!
