Those who are sensitive to caffeine, beware! A friend of mine gave me a sachet of this back in college when I was trying to pull and all-nighter. The taste was ok, but the caffeine content sent already stressed-out me into a 4-hour fit of tremors. Never again.

I first enjoyed a cup of Lapsang Souchang at Russian Tea Time in Chicago. This is not that! I have had this sitting in my pantry for close to a decade because neither I nor anyone in my family want to drink it; the smokey, barbecue-like flavor is just too strong. Fortunately, I have enjoyed sticking my nose in the canister to smell its potent, almost pipe tobacco fragrance every once in a while to make the price somewhat worth it. I need room, so it is going in the trash.

I really enjoy the aroma and flavor of this gingery and subtly peachy tea. The peach is mostly present in fragrance alone. but the good quality black tea and ginger pack a full punch of flavor. These sachets do not make as good a pitcher of iced tea as Republic of Tea’s Ginger Peach. However, as a hot tea, I even enjoy leaving this in my cup for the entire sipping duration (sometimes hours), savoring the strength of the ginger and the faint waft of peach.

Flavors: Astringent, Ginger, Peach
