Sweet smelling, almost of honey. Does have a bit of a nutty taste. The combination of the sweet smell and nutty taste are pretty good and unexpected. Mellow but tasty

drank Sencha Sakura by Rishi Tea

I love this tea so so much. It’s my official “it’s time for spring” tea to welcome in the nice weather. I bought this tea last year, and I got 2 50 gram packets of it… so the second one I had been waiting to open up, which I did yesterday, and tasted as fresh and delicious as I remembered it last year. It’s a very good sencha with cherry blossoms, and there’s a light sweetness to it, and is tasty through the 3rd steeping. Delicious!

Smooth, light and subtle flavor. Somewhat vegetal, almost seaweed? Definitely a tasty brew

My Rishi chai sampler came in today, and this is the first one I’ve tried. Quite delicious! I added some sweetener and milk after brewing, and it has a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Smooth on the sip, but going down has just the right kick from the ginger and pepper. I’m definitely going to have to order more of this, I can see the sampler pack being gone before the end of the week… unless one of the other 3 samplers can beat this one. I hope they give it a good try!

I’ve finally found a way to make it through this tin: tiny mug, steep for 4 minutes, add milk. I tried making this tea at work in a slightly larger mug, and it just didn’t taste right, and I had to dump it out.

I love tea, but hate jasmine and melon, and am always looking to try something new — which is why my tea collection is out of control!
