1598 Tasting Notes
I LOVE this tea. It’s so good!
I’m down to 152 teas after a few unsatisfactory sipdowns so I’m ending the night with this delight! I’ll have to cold-steep the leaves for tomorrow. :D
This is the first of 9 samples I ended up with from TTC! I’m so excited. I wasn’t even sure where to start, but I’m very pleased with this one.
It smells like honey, and tastes almost like baked bread with honey and just the barest hint of cinnamon. It has a thicker mouthfeel than your average tea, and is rich with flavour.
It’s too bad I finished off my Butiki Mi Xian because I’m curious how they compare? I enjoy both blends (and am looking forward to resteeping this all evening) but can’t say what makes them different.
Flavors: Bread, Cinnamon, Citrus, Honey

I forgot how much I liked this tea. It’s good! So good! Just add milk and you have a nice creamy, coffee-like substitute with cocoa notes in it. And maybe hazelnut? I’ll have to get more. Maybe someday Bayswater will ACTUALLY get their webstore going so that I can do so without relying on others to get it for me. :D
I decided I wanted to try one of my WP teas, but I chose not to drink Campfire Blend because I wasn’t craving smoke. Well… whoops? Should have gone for Manistee Blend or North Winds.
So this is fairly smoky, with a little bit of sweetness. And cocoa! I’m enjoying it but I’m not going to rate it as it’s not what I was craing. It’d be better as an evening tea.
Backlog:
I had this earlier today after steeping it for over 12 hours. The sample came with my tentacle mug that I bought last week.
I was REALLY impressed that this was a green rooibos. I’m getting sick of red rooibos and I find it irritates my throat a little, but green rooibos hasn’t let me down. And this tea, is PERFECT Cotton Candy. It’s light and fluffy (for a liquid) and SO VERY sweet.
I’m not certain if I want to buy more of it because I generally don’t add sweetener to my teas, and this has plenty of sugar in it, but for those who want something sweet and like cotton candy, then this will be your new favourite tea!
Did you taste the mango? It’s in the ingredients list and very much weirds me out. But otherwise I think this would be so good…
I didn’t actually notice the mango! Mostly just the sweetness and whatever it is that gives it a cotton candy sorta mouthfeel!
It’s a green rooibos?!?! I’ve been asking them for ages to get more green in. I can’t wait to try it!
How’s the tentacle mug? I haven’t bought one of their steeping mugs before. Is the design etched into the glass or a white color on clear? Tried to send this as a message but Steepster keeps sending it to a different user. Thanks!
The tentacle mug is cute! I think the tentacle mug was made by applying a blue sticker onto the white mug – there’s a slight ridge along the edge but it feels solid. It was a great price!
Sipdown!!! Woooo! I had 6 oz of this and now it’s gone and that’s a relief. I have an awesome TARDIS keepsake tin and I’ve cleared my oldest tea off the list and I’m just happy. 6 oz is A LOT of one tea, especially an Adagio tea.
It’s nice today. Blueberry vanilla goodness. I guess I’ll get more. Eventually. In a year or more? :P
Preparation
Oh, this is SO good! It’s exactly what it says it is – blackberry and lime flavours against a slightly woody guayusa background. I really am loving this. I took the next two weeks off work so I could visit family and relax with J a little before he gets a job, and this guayasa is just what I needed to power me through cleaning the living room!
Because vacuuming is fine but then you see things you need to dust, and move stuff around and before you know it you’ve started to move furniture and are trying to visualize things and UGH. Gimme some power-up tea! :D
I may end up buying a buttload of this! I usually prefer straight black teas in the morning but this is a nice jolt!
Preparation
Onto the list this one goes; this sounds like a great guayusa blend. I hope you have an awesome vacation! :)
Thanks guys! I’m almost done all the house-cleaning so things are looking far more relaxed. We might hit a Blue Jays came next week, and on tuesday I’ve got a friend coming so we can go to the Toronto live show for Night Vale! :O :O :O And with J’s dad down we’ll probably go to petting zoos etc so he can spend more time with his granddaughter! I’m sure it’ll be great, even though gasp it will likely cut down on how much tea I drink.
