Strawberry flavored teas are pretty much always a hit with Ashman, and I like them myself. Our first was Marco Polo by Mariage Freres and it was excellent but finicky. Most of the strawberry teas we have tried are strawberry AND…something else like cream, yogurt (boy, that was a good one), coconut, or chocolate.

This one is strawberry. Dry leaves smell like strawberry in a big way. Steeped cup – yep, strawberry. We liked it a lot. I felt like the aroma and taste matched those strawberry hard candies that are wrapped in red strawberry print plastic and have a soft center, so I would call this more strawberry candy flavor than real garden strawberry. Or maybe strawberry pie filling? But it doesn’t taste sweet and there is no added sweetener.

A good tea from the advent box from which I am utterly ignoring the numbers on the doors, or even the month I am supposed to drink this. With 600 grams of tea in this puppy, it is going to take more than a month to finish it.

Ooh you got their wooden advent too?! I’m so excited to start it in December!

I’m with both of you on the strawberry black teas. Love them.
Totally envious—in a good way—of the wooden advent. 600 grams! Wow!

Cameron B. – Ashman surprised me with it! We were looking at various advents and saw that one. I said it was nice but too expensive and kept going, and he said something about it being worth it since it was reusable. We ended up buying the Bonne Maman and I forgot about it, until DHL pulled up with a giant Fortnum box!

Cameron B.

Aww so sweet! He’s a keeper! And I have Bonne Maman as well, heh heh…

Oh, Marco! I had a love affair with him years ago! ;)

This is a favourite and I don’t even like strawberries all that much. It does last forever though :)

Really looking forward to you starting your F&M advent. So fancy!

gmathis – We no longer have a source for Mariage Freres! (sob) A Southern Season carries a few of their teas but they closed and I don’t know of any place within hundreds of miles that might have Marco for m to try again.

CrowKettle – The fruity teas really are good! I have tried several and I like them!

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
