1800 Tasting Notes

This tea is definitely true to its name. Gingerbread and maple. It’s a really rich ginger flavor, with strong maple notes. The flavors hold up really well against the very strong black base.

Advent catch up. This was just straight fennel to me. Definitely not something I would describe as a ‘lovely chai.’ Pretty one note, and not something I would ever reach for again.

Advent day…something! I got a bit behind on drinking some of my advent teas. I was very happy to see an oolong, as I generally love them. But, this was another odd combination from DF. Another citrus tea. The buckwheat was especially distinct tasting in this for me, which I didn’t entirely care for.

A buckwheat tea certainly sounds interesting!

Advent day 15! Really enjoyed this! The blackberry is prominent, even over the bold black base. Pretty simple, but excellent nevertheless.

12 days of Christmas, day 2! I freaking love banana teas, and found this to be exceptional. The banana is prominent, and really well balanced with the the marshmallowy goodness. The toasty genmaicha balances the former 2 flavors really well. Was so sad when I finished this cup. I very much wish I could purchase more of this!

There will be some of the 12 Teas remaining after the holidays (which will be posted to the website on the 26th). However, since you purchased the box, you can pre-order the remaining quantities prior to the 26th by emailing me to let me know what you’d like. Quantities are VERY limited, and there are a couple of teas that there are NO remaining quantities.

Advent day 15! Toffee/caramel and lemon sounded very intriguing, so I was excited to try this one! Unfortunately, I found the caramel flavor to be a bit plasticy, which I didn’t care for. It was nice to see a change of pace from all of the straight citrus that seems to be in this advent.

I received this as a sample in a recent order from Necessiteas. Cinnamon was sounding especially tasty today, and this definitely seemed to fit the bill. Wow. What a bold cinnamon flavor. Tastes like a melted red hot, which really hit the spot.

I haven’t really been in the mood for a chai lately, but was actually craving one during my break today. I was very excited to have this as the first day of the 52teas Christmas box. It’s a nicely balanced chai with some vanilla notes. I don’t get caramel so much, but it was a really wonderful chai nonetheless.

I absolutely love pineapple teas, but they seem to be rather difficult to find. It’s always pineapple+coconut, or pineapple+some other combination of tropical fruits. This pineapple was authentic and juicy, with some beautiful creamy notes to finish it off.
