This tea is lovely. When you open that bag oh heaven the smell! It’s def Jasmine. When steeped tho, it’s a delightful brew. It is fairly potent but it’s on the edge. It’s on the edge of getting too purfumed but it isn’t It’s right there in a good balance of tea and wonderful floral. It’s relaxing to just sit next to your steaming cup. It smells so good. But it’s lighter on the tongue. Hubs thinks it’s too perfumy for his taste but if you like a floral tea this is a good one. I really enjoy it.

I really love this one. I bought it on impulse. It may have been on sale…

Such a light and delicate oolong. No grassiness or too much vegetal. It’s smooth and pleasant. Yu can smell the spice but it isn’t spicey at all. It’s ever so naturally sweet, like a fruit would be…The plum isn’t really too obvious. But it is SO delicious on so many levels. As it cools it becomes more complex. I get the custard and brown sugar. Still alittle citrus and floral and a hint of fruit. It’s beautiful I wouldn’t add any sugar to this at all. It’s perfect just the way it is. A bit of depth. It’s just un complicated which is what I want sometimes. So I’ll be drinking this all morning while I make my italian quiche and finish my photo shoots.

Just got this as a sample in my Verdant tea order that literally JUST GOT HERE about 3 minutes ago. I waste no time. I decided to dig right into the sample because it sounded intriguing on Steepster and I thought to myself why didn’t I think to order that? Oh well…SAMPLE!! :)

So I just finished brewing it…trying to calm a screaming baby…will probably give it just enough time to cool….

Ah I see…Diaper change….that will do it.

Now to the tea. First steep is nice. Green and sweet…not near as woodsy and dark as I was anticipating…

Second steep, much more mellow…in fact I think I like it better the second steep. It seems more balanced. Less “green”

Third Steep: More citrus. A little astringency.

And I’m going to go to bed. Because it’s late and I need sleep!!

Over all a pretty good oolong

Ok. the first couple times I brewed this I really wasn’t impressed. There was nothing eggnog like at all. Hubs tasted it and wasn’t crazy about it either. Figure I must be doing SOMETHING wrong because of all the amazing reviews here on Steepster. How could I not like this tea when it seems like it appeals to so many?

Well I steeped some tonight because I wanted a little sweet. For the heck of it I added just a touch of rock sugar….but then I forgot about it. Baby feeding, 4 year old kept getting out of bed…yadda yadda.

So by the time I got to it it was cooled significantly.

And it’s AMAZING! I don’t know maybe drinking it a little cool is the way I need to drink it. It still isn’t quite eggnog but it’s super milky and creamy and sweet. It’s delightful. Had the hubs blind taste it and he went “oooo that’s delicious” and I said “I know right?”

Who knew. Just had to find my ideal temp. Now I really enjoy it. I’ll be brewing much more of it in the future!

I straight up adore this tea. I crave it sometimes. I’ts probably one of my favorite oolongs because the pecan just compliments the oolong earthiness so well. It isn’t sweet but it plays at sweetness. The aroma when you open the bag is HEAVEN! It just makes me think of curling up to a fire and eating a big ol piece of pecan pie.

so I just made my last cup from my 50g bag last night and I was so sad…So I ordered a 100g tin today. Because honestly it’s one of my favorite evening teas. Granted there isn’t a whole lot of white tea taste I get from it. But those dang mulberries! OMG. I will steep this at least twice because it’s a pricey tea. But I wont hesitate to order it despite the cost. It’s like a butterscotch and a caramel candy got together over a wild weekend and had a delicious love child. It’s one of the teas I want to have around all the time. Yes.

Got a sample of this from Stacy in my last Butiki order…I made another one yesterday and I’m so excited for it….

Anyway, brewed up my perfectly measured sample today and it is LOVELY! I perfect black tea. The kind you don’t even want to add a sweetener to because it would just ruin the purity of it. I could drink this every morning. No bitterness. Just smooth tea. Good stuff. Thanks Stacy

Got this as a sample in my recent Butiki order. Thanks Stacy :) I’ve been wanting to try this one.

Initial sips…I get the pineapple and the floral right off. Very complex tasting. And the oolong isn’t overpowering. It’s funny because I don’t really smell a lot of pineapple in the cup but when you sip it’s definitely there. The smell is a sweet oolong kind of thing. It tastes like natural pineapple too. Nothing artificial. I don’t think you need to add anything to it. It hints at sweetness without being sweet. And the floral notes compliment it so well. It’s like sipping the tropics. The orchid lingers.

Ok, since it’s a sample I have to try it a few ways….added some sweetener just to see what happens. Little rock sugar (that I also got from Butiki).

Yep. Pineapple. Yummy.

I think I’ll have to order some of this. It’s one of the more unique blends I’ve tried and I think I adore the floral.

This is my third oolong. I haven’t written on the first two because I’m pretty sure I screwed up the steeping the first couple times. Shoulda just come on Steepster to see what everyone was steeping at. So I’ll go back later and note those.

This is awesome. I definitely get the vanilla, then cream, then orchid. This is a yummy cup. A real treat. Not as oolong-y as the last cups I made. I think I steeped too long on those because this has an earthy oolong undertone but it isn’t all I taste for once. It has a lot of delicate layers. Delicious. I really get the orchid at the end. Pretty floral.

Second steep. This one is much more floral than the first. The vanilla has almost vanished and your left with a creamy orchid. Not bad. However, I must say that the leaves the second steep smelled completely unappetizing. Don’t know what that was about. It smelled very “green”. Like vegetable greens. Anyway….

It’s a good one. I think I like the first steep the best because there’s more vanilla but that’s just me. :)

I’m a cookie and dessert blogger from Texas….sort of. I love tea…always have…but since my husband and I cut out our nightly glass of wine the tea obsession has begun. Now I can’t get enough tea! I’m so glad I found this community. I learn a lot and it’s really fun.
