I did a little something special with this tea considering the time of the year. Brewed it once for Summer and once for Autumn..bringing in the Autumn Equinox the tea way :D

Summer:
.5 tsp tea- 4 oz of water- 4 minutes- Added Agave- Iced
Just like those perfect summer mornings, this tea was crisp and refreshing. There was slight tartness from the hibiscus but that just nicely complimented the agave that I added. Sweet citrus from the orange rounded out the summer experience with evoked memories of biting into the first sweet fruits of summer. A delicious fruit medley with an awesome slightly spicy kick from the calendula.

Autumn:
.5 tsp tea- 4 oz water- 4 minutes- Added Agave, Cloves, Cinnamon- Hot
Wow, the apple flavor is surely brought out in this sort of preparation. The calendula nicely compliments the added Autumn spices making a nice spiced cider-esque flavor (just with a bit of added tartness from the hibiscus). Love how the steeped liquid creates a deep raspberry color..it reminds me of Christmas poinsettias.

I’m really quite impressed how dynamic this tea can be. One minute I’m sitting on a tropical beach with sand in my toes and the next I’m jumping into a pile of freshly fallen leaves. Thank you, Good Life Tea!

It was a grey, foggy morning a few days ago so I decided it was a perfect time to make a London Fog Latte with this tea. Mmmm..yes. :D The brisk mornings of Autumn are coming and it is glorious!

The creamy vanilla undertones that this tea added to the latte (something that many other earl greys do not have) were lovely. It was smooth and light adding a dessert-y element to the latte.

The bergamot was not overwhelming in this tea which I rather enjoyed. And the black base makes a much needed appearance without being aggressive. There is a floral note that briefly dances across your tongue and then fades away into the vanilla. I steeped the tea just under three minutes and did not have any problems with the bitterness that some of the others have mentioned. Also I managed to get a lovely resteep out of the tea leaves that taste really similar to the first!

This tea is a light earl grey with flavors that meld really well together-no one flavor overwhelms the others.

Those of you that know me on here know exactly how I feel about chocolate- not a fan in the slightest. But I am continually finding myself in possession of chocolate flavored teas.. shrug I don’t know either…o.o Though, to be honest, chocolate in tea is the least offensive way that I have had chocolate. So I always give the teas a go. And in this tea….wow, I’m impressed.

This tea has a smooth, creamy consistency. The kind that coats your mouth in utter deliciousness begging you to take another sip.

Rooibos as a base was genius, it delivers the dessert flavor profile I want without the thickness that can sometimes come with teas. After all, if I wanted a tasty, thick liquid for dessert, I would leave my bowl of ice cream to ‘marinate’ in the sun for a while.

My boyfriend is one of the toughest people I know when it comes to criticizing tea. He often complains about not enough flavor or it being bitter (even when I love the cup)—What can I say, he’s a sweet soda pop kind of guy..but completely enjoys a cup of tea when it satisfies his definition of ‘delicious.’ And he actually ended up stealing most of this cup from me. That sneaky butt. But I can’t blame him, it is delicious.

From a tea fanatic to a soda pop guy, this tea seems to satisfy. It delivers the desserty satisfaction that I crave paired with relaxing warmth to help me drift off into a blissful sleep. Well done, Good Life Tea and thank you so much for the sample. :]

mm. Delicious. mm mm, delicious. mm. Delicious. mm mm, delicious. ← That is the song that I am currently singing to myself as I drink this tea. The tea is making me do it! I can’t help it…it’s just so good!

This tea is pure, simple happiness. You know what is in here? Green Tea, shredded coconut, and flavors (which I am assuming is just more coconut). That’s it. Plain and simple. But don’t let it trick you, this tea is going to take your taste buds on an amazing ride.

Steep 1: 1 heaping teaspoon, 2 minutes, 8 ounces of water, 185 degrees, and a touch of agave
the first flavor to hit you is the sencha… it’s smooth and buttery. As the sip ends you get an influx of glorious coconut. Sweet, lovely coconut. Almost like the coconut that you bake with..it’s just naturally sweet, undeniable, milky coconut without the artificially in your face over-flavored taste that many teas seem to take. There is a bit of astringency towards the end of my sip nothing too off putting.

Steep 2: same leaves, 2 minutes, 6 ounces, 175 degrees, a touch of agave
WOW! Even better than the first steep. No astricency whatsoever. Just perfectly silky, creamy, buttery sencha and coconut. The two flavors perfectly balance each other out. One is not too dominate over the other, solely working together to create a beautiful medley.

Steep 3: same leaves, 2 minutes, 6 ounces, 175 degrees, a touch of agave
Yum. Dear cup, please don’t end. You are making my taste buds dance like a joyous greek family dancing at a wedding.

Steep 4: same leaves, 2 minutes, 6 ounces, 175 degrees, a touch of agave
This tea just keeps going and going with the same amazing flavors. Ahhh. Soo good. Commence the singing that started this post.

So it’s no secret, I really like this tea. It’s buttery and coconuty and makes me happy. What more could I want?

CUT!!! Come on tea, what are you doing? You are supposed to do it just like we rehearsed (in my head). For you see it is my 100th tasting note (Yay, happy dance)…so it is kind of a big deal. I want it to be about a tea that is super delicious..and that is supposed to be you given my love for pink lemonade..but you have to work with me. Okay? Okay. Back from the top.

Take One: 2 tsp. tea, 8 oz. water, 205 degrees, 5 minutes….
-Blech, what is this?? You aren’t really convincing me of the whole “I’m a delicious pink lemonade drink me because I’m just so good” role that I had envisioned. Your stevia is just not working for me, it’s too overpowering. Wait…maybe it’s not you…perhaps it’s the scenery…let’s cool it down a bit.

Take Two: 2 tsp tea, 8 oz. water, 205 degrees, 5 minutes….this time ICED
-Much better. Looks like you are starting to get the hang of it. You start out strong with the scrumptious pink lemonade flavor that I was hoping for but your finishing notes are just sooooo stevia… sooooo not good. Why is it there to begin with? I don’t want stevia in the center of my stage! Maybe there is just too much of you…let’s try toning you down a bit.

Take Three: 1.5 tsp tea, 8 oz. water, 205 degrees, 5 minutes….
Are we shooting underwater here because you are a bit muted and watery for me. Nice job cutting down on the stevia, though..it isn’t nearly as present as it had been. Can we try amping up the cuteness, though.. I do like a sweet lemonade.

Take Four: 1.5 tsp. tea, 8 oz. water, 205 degrees, 5 minutes….with AGAVE
Okay, this I can work with. We are getting there kid, don’t give up! I’m getting the delicious tangyness and the stevia is toned down…but something isn’t quite right.. too hot again. Stage crew, change the set, please!

Erf… Not enough flavor. Give me a little more pizzazz! It’s a little bland right now…Picture a hot sunny day and all you want is to cool off with a nice refreshing glass of fruity tang..now go sell those lemonade notes!
Maybe you need a costar…

Take Six: 1.5 tsp. tea, 8 oz. water, 205 degrees, 5 minutes….with AGAVE…and MILK (erm..why not? tried everything else:P)
Abort, abort!!! Bad idea.. cup going down the drain. Sorry milk.. maybe we will bring you in next season with another costar…change the main characters just like Doctor Who!

Okay, tea…. I really don’t know what to do with you now. Boss says that you must be used but I can’t figure out how to make the story work. Maybe we will change the plot. It will be about a tea that should have been really good….strives to reach its goal and improves along the way only to crash and burn at the end. Not quite the happy go lucky storyline I was thinking of…but it’ll have to work. Take the rest of the night off, kid.

aside to assistant maybe we should tell David to rethink the whole stevia thing… tea would totally have worked without it. It’s really too bad..there was great potential.

This is another amazing tea from Teavivre. These guys just continue to amaze me…amazing customer service, fabulous (and organic!) teas, and just the happiest customers.

This tea is perfectly sweet and mellowing after a hectic day like today. The dry leaf is adorably fluffy and smells of fresh hay rounds. It tastes slightly floral but it is silky smooth and delicate. The second steep has brewed a gorgeous deep yellow and really brings out the floral notes. Out of all the teas that I have had this tea has been one of the best at pulling off the full floral flavor without being too chemically or perfumy nor too overwhelming. It is just peaceful and relaxing. It has definitely put me in the mood to do some yoga:]

I got four wonderful steeps out of these leaves..so awesome. It has gotten me reenergized but oddly in a calming sort of way. Now back to kicking so bootay :D

This tea almost smells like a sheng to me but with an added freshness like a crisp early morning. The liquor is really quite dark and the cup is sooo flavorful. Talk about a malty flavor explosion! :D As the tea cools, it gets more of the traditional aged white flavor..hay-like notes with smooth malt to finish out the sip..it’s beautiful. And honey..there are glorious honey notes in here, too. Wow, this is an incredible multi-dimensional flavor tea.

Don’t let the brewing instructions catch you off guard..212 degree water and 6-10 minutes brew time for this WHITE tea is oddly perfect. Teavivre has gotten the brewing time down pat:D

I really do love chai tea and hazelnut is such an enchanting flavor so I had to try this one:P I made it as a latte with some whole milk topped with just a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg ..and oh la la, sweet, sweet comfort. This cup was so comfy and happy that I just had to curl up on my bed with a genetics book and just appreciate the pure bliss radiating from my cup. Ahhh, yes. As much as I am a fan of loose tea vs bagged tea, this bagged tea was incredible. The hazelnut was smooth and delicious and the cup was full of flavor and spice. Plus, not to mention it was incredibly convenient…. after so many loose leaf tea cups I almost forget how simple a bagged tea can be to prepare. Plus, this tea is in eco-friendly tea sachets…is organic…and fair trade. How can I not want more of this? A home-run tea for me. Now I really want to try the rooibos version of this…badly. :P tehehe. I bet I will like it even more!

I have become more and more of a ghost on this website. This is mostly due to the fact that I have spent tooo much time and money on tea these past couple months. sigh but it is so much fun…and so tasty.. Silly bills drying out my tea funds:P Luckily, I have lots of tea in my tea stash…must have to avoid the temptation to buy more.. rawrs. For those of you that have played the game Ni No Kuni illustrated by Miyazaki, I am in much need of more restraint.

Anyways, onto this incredible tea.

I am by no means a pu’erh expert.. but thanks to advice from the awesome Spencer I knew just how to brew this tea. The dry smell of this tea was much more pleasant than I was expecting…probably because some of the other pu’erhs that I have had smelled much like dirt or fish. But this one was fresh smelling. The flavor of the first cup was a light woodsy sweet almost honey-esque flavor with a very like liquor. The second cup had much bolder flavors of musk and floral but oh so smooooth. There was only slight bitterness at the end. A beautiful pu’erh.. hopefully I can age as gracefully as this tea.

What a fun TTB! :D The idea behind it is so cute it makes me feel like I’m back in elementary school transforming “my dog is dark brown” to “it’s Dill’s deck now.” tehehe.

This tea is wonderful. Thank you Kiwidelight for choosing this tea. I never would have picked this out for myself but it is really delightful. It is a delicate black tea with luscious honey notes. Astringency does not exist in this tea’s vocabulary but smooth caramel does. And oh that malt…mmm.. making my mouth water… thank goodness it has given me four steeps..tehehe^.^
