151 Tasting Notes
At first, I did not like this tea, but with time (and some persistence) it has grown on me. At Davids they taught me to rinse the tea leaves before making it hot so as not to burn them. This was my problem with the tea initially I think. I also began to make it iced and enjoyed it that way.
This tea was my go-to tea of the summer. I drank it hot, and iced. My store ran out before I got more, but they disassembled their ‘summer collection’ boxes and I bought all the perfect pear they had. It is a wonderful tea. If it is steeped too long it gets quite tart, but only if it is steeped in hot water. I find if I cold steep it, it doesn’t get to that bitter/tart point whatsoever.
This tea is okay. I prefer blazing strawberries, and strawberry ginger because they have that little extra that gave the teas a more distinct flavour, and also strengthened the blends. This one is quite weak, but is nice both hot and iced. I like it if I am not in the mood for something heavy.. This is a nice desert tea after a big meal for sure!!
Preparation
This was a really interesting tea. It tasted like berry oatmeal to me. I had it hot and enjoyed it. I never did try it iced, as it literally flew off the shelves and my store never did seem to re-stock it. I don’t think I had it enough to really even remember what I liked and didn’t like specifically about it.
I love this tea. I got it iced, throughout the summer, as it was a nice cooling treat. I bought several tins of it in anticipation of them taking it off the shelves, but they have kept it as a permanent tea!. I find the flavours compliment one another perfectly, nothing overpowering the others. I have recently tried it hot and love it just as much. I will definitely be keeping this tea in my collection.
Preparation
I did not like this tea at all. I was excited a tea was coming out that was specifically pineapple flavoured, but was very disappointed when trying it. I found that the floral notes coming from the oolong really overpowered the pineapple flavour. I think if the pineapple had of been stronger, or the oolong was less strong it would have been a winner, but sadly I could not finish my bag of this.
Ooh, I remember hearing that tip before, but I had forgotten it! I think this one would be good iced, but I am nervous about the lemongrass. Usually I find that is really strong in green teas, and I would want this one to be fruity.
oh its not at all strong in this tea at all :) .. you hardly know its present.
