I enjoyed this sample a lot. It is very thick, dark, and sweet. It has a lot of hay note and molasses. Definitely good for a morning cup. I did not add milk, but I imagine it could take it well.

I love these new flavor combos. I also love the spearmint in this, and taste the apple. I wish the cardamom were a bit stronger, but I really enjoy this.

I didn’t know if I would like this, given that I am still on the fence about mate in general, but was pleasantly surprised. Not my most favorite ever, but if you like mate, this is a good flavor.

drank Mango Ice Cream by 52teas

I think I should have cold steeped this. I hot brewed it and let it cool, and I didn’t get a very ice cream feeling from it. I mostly tasted fruit, with some sweetness. Overall, it was pleasant, but not my favorite.

Very bready, with a hint of cinnamon. Similar to real cinnamon bread. But I am a cinnamon fiend and wish there were a bit more.

Wow, this is seriously impressive. Maple, coconut, and cardamom are the main scents. I am glad I put a bit of honey in this because it makes it even more breakfasty.

I only discovered this last year how much I love cardamom as a flavor and scent. I need it in more things. I usually loathe coconut in tea, but this flavor is meant to be buttery, so it works.

drank Lemon Soleil by Adagio Teas

I prefer this cold steeped. It is strongly lemon, to the point of being a hair pine-sol ish, but not so much that it is undrinkable. Overall, I’d say it is not remarkable in any way, positive or negative.

drank Cherry by Adagio Teas

I cold steeped this, and drank it iced, and really enjoy it. I wouldn’t say it is a super strong flavor, but it also means it doesn’t taste too artificial. I recommend it for people who like berry flavors, but want something a bit different.

I enjoyed this iced. I can taste both blackcurrant and peach, which is a nice change of pace from one overwhelming flavor. Even if it is a good overwhelming. I didn’t get any wow factor here, but it was nice. I would only recommend being extremely careful not to oversteep – I brewed this at 160, normally only greens need to be that low for me, and it was still a bit bitter after three minutes.

I enjoyed my sample of this very much. A new, fancy tea to celebrate a new, shiny job. I am really really excited, and equally stressed. I will be moving to Virginia ASAP and teaching third grade at what seems like a very nice school. I am packing like a maniac, while trying to run a million errands to transfer pet sitting clients literally overnight, and doing the paperwork type stuff that comes with moving and hiring and the like.

But I took time to drink this this morning as a small celebration. With all the stress of my first year of teaching looming as well as a big move, I feel like it will be difficult for me to celebrate if I don’t make the time. I find this tea to be extremely tasty. Cocoa, malt, and hay is what I taste, though specifically slightly damp hay. Normally I am not capable of being so specific, but this seems to have a slight tang or sourness that is similar to that of wet hay.

I fell in love with this tea in Tokyo :)
I will just throw my opinion out there: There is no better Dian Hong to be had

Congrats! From a mom who recently had a third grader two years ago. . .Thank you! Third grade was hard on the kiddo. Teachers are awesome!

I appreciate the well wishes – I am excited. I hear third grade can be a tough year, but I hear it is one they make some of the most progress, so it sounds super rewarding. I am sure your kid’s teacher was so happy you are so supportive, it makes the job SO much easier, and it isn’t always the case.

Now a certified teacher, beginning my first year in third grade this fall. I have been involved in the tea world about 5 years now. In that time, I have learned so much, and am hoping to learn even more by joining the steepster community.

In my non-tea times, I am usually watching netflix while writing lesson plans, cuddling my two kitties, or trying to find new things to do in a town that is sometimes a bit limited!
