90 Tasting Notes
ohhhhh hello sweet friend how I have missed you… I left my bag of this at my mom and dad’s house at Christmas and we haven’t had it in the store since before I got back. Finally picked up a tin today and it’s just like… liquid love. god i love this tea.
Preparation
this was one of only two tins I bought during my 27 tea spree on Saturday. Tins of tea make me feel rich! Which I am not. Becuase I bought 27 teas on Saturday. And then 2 more tins on Sunday…
Anyway. I love this tea. I drink it at work when I’m starting to get hungry and I’m still a ways from lunch time. Tonight i was trying to resist the munchies (so far, still sucessful but it’s only 1am) and i brewed this. Then I got distracted and let it cool to almost room temperature. The kettle was already on for my next cup so I chugged this. Woah, it’s GOOD. I am going to try making iced fruity teas with genmaicha added. I think that’s the reason I love Sleigh Ride as much as I do…
this is amazing. it’s got a rich full mouth full, a lucious berry sweetness and just the right amount of tartness.
How did you manage to get this one before it was released??
I’ve got some inside connections… and a key to the store! Nah, it has been hanging out in the stock room for 5 days or so and we get to try things a little bit earlier than most :) I made a cup the minute I got in on Sunday morning.

What else is coming? What else is coming? And I had promised not to buy so much tea this year….sigh
This is absolutely the ginger tea I have been waiting for my entire life. I am going to buy some fresh lemons tomorrow and try it with lemon juice as well as honey.
This tea doesn’t get as much love from me as it should, by virtue of being super popular. I am always advocating for the underdog lol. However right now a pot of this is the perfect thing I wanted. yummmy.
