This tea has a nice soothing taste. It really does sooth the throat. I had bronchitis this past week and I pretty much lived on this tea. Of course, it’s only temporary I would advise going to the doctor for some medication, but this really does the trick meanwhile. A very delightfully tasty tea.

drank Jolly Jellybean by DAVIDsTEA
45 tasting notes

My thought process through this tea experience:

Hmm…no smell
That’s a wimpy jelly bean
Surely there’s more than that pathetic little guy in here
Oh! Look at all the jelly beans!
I wonder if I can eat them???
This tea smells like puke!!!! (while steeping)
Hope it tastes better than it smells
Bland smell/no more puke! (after steeping)
No flavor
Tastes like honey (with two tsp raw honey)

This tea is pretty disappointing. And for anyone interested…yes I ate the jelly beans! :) This tea has no taste to it. I picked this tea to try something different, but I got nothing. No aroma no smell…nothing. The only thing saving this tea is the fact that I have some honey. Wish it would have been better.

drank Mom's Apple Pie by DAVIDsTEA
45 tasting notes

I’m writing this review as I drink this tea.

This tea really hit me when I opened the package, all I could smell was apple pie! The aroma is so strong and so much like real apple pie, I’m almost afraid to taste it and become disappointed in it.

On another note (as the tea cools), this is my first order from DavidsTea and I must say they did an EXCELLENT shipping job. The delivery was quick and the packaging was excellent. It looked like someone actually took time to make my package nice, orderly, and as break resistant as possible (since I also purchased one of their glass cups-which I’m about to drink my tea from).

I was also given three samples that I can’t wait to try and all my teas came with a free tin since I purchased 100g of each tea. The teas also came with stickers to place on the tins to distinguish between my teas. DT also did an excellent job on their “tea menu”. The menu has several teas with little boxes (for check marks) and is made of an almost cardboard type material so you can write in it to either mark of the teas you have or want. I absolutely love that.

Okay, so the tea is cooling and the aroma has softened just a little, but still smells like apple pie. I haven’t added any sweetener to this yet (I add honey to all my teas) because the smell is so sweet I don’t want to risk ruining it.

First sip done! This tea tastes nothing like its smell (a little disappointed). I could drink this without honey, but I’d prefer not to. Let’s see if honey does the trick….WOW! It’s like a whole new tea! The honey really brings out the sweet apple pie taste. I can’t believe how much of a difference the honey has really made. (I used a raw honey) I was thinking the honey would make this tea taste like honey, but one tsp did the trick and I’m a happy tea drinker! I will continue to buy this tea it is that good!

If the tea tasted like it smells or even as it does with the honey originally I would give this tea a 100, but considering the previous, I will have to dock a few points. :(

This tea is great! I read a couple of reviews on this tea before I purchased it, and knew I would love it since I love minty teas. A lot of other reviews I read talked about adding a black vanilla tea to make it taste like candy canes. I could see that as a great combination for this tea. It is so nice and minty without being too minty. Exactly what I thought it would taste like. I mixed mine with a tbls of rock sugar and just doing that gave it the “candy cane taste” in my opinion. I will be restocking on this tea for sure! I can safely say it is my favorite tea at this point!!! If you love mint teas you will love this tea!!!

Not a huge fan of this tea. It tastes like a tea I hated and put carmel in it to try an make it taste better. It has little flavor, and is nothing like I expected. I did not really taste the apple in it tasted more like their Hot Apple Cider tea than anything else.

Hmmm…not sure I tasted much of anything in this tea. I always sweeten my tea, so as usual I put my tsp of honey in and let it steep. The first sip all I could taste was honey! No mango, no ceylon. I have not tasted this without sweetener, but I may try it to see if that changes my mind. I also gave my boyfriend a sip without telling him my own thoughts and he said, “this tastes completely like honey”. One tsp of honey should not have overpowered this tea to the point that it was the only thing I could taste. However, even with the honey, I think this is a nice simple tea for a cool morning.

Okay, I’ve just started getting into drinking tea, and I must say I really am starting to love it. I’m not to the point where I can taste ingredients or anything like that. I’m not drinking anything unsweetened or anything flavorless because I’m not there yet. But, I must say this tea is good for a beginner such as myself. The only thing I have against this tea is the fruity taste. It’s a little strong in my opinion, but not horribly. I like the chocolaty after taste of this tea, but that part could be a little stronger. This is my first “desert tea”-not sure if that’s the correct name for this tea, but I was overall satisfied and would recommend this tea to a beginner, and will most likely be purchasing this again soon. (This is my second cup today!)

I really like this tea. It reminds me of something from my childhood that I can’t seem to place. I really like the spice mixed with the orange, and that it’s not too spicy. This is probably in my top 5 Teavana teas because it doesn’t leave an after taste. I’ll most likely be purchasing some more of this tea.

First off, this tea smelled horrible when I opened it. It smelled like dried fruit that was sitting in a cardboard box for a long time. Looking at it and knowing the ingredients inside, I thought this tea would not only smell good but taste good as well. The taste was only okay (better than the smell thank goodness!) The tea is okay at first but then it leaves an odd aftertaste in your mouth. I will finish this product up, and will not be purchasing it again.

Got this as a free sample in the mail. All I can say is I won’t be buying this tea. It is very bland. I was quite surprised because when I think of holiday teas I think spice and flavor; both of which I did not get from this tea.

Bio

I’m new to the tea world, and I have recently become addicted to this stuff! I love the flavored teas the most. I actually used to hate tea (wish I would have discovered my love for it earlier on) because when I was in my teens I was given a flavorless tea with no sweetener, and as a child, that was a big turn off. Now as an adult I have truly learned to love tea. I am trying as much of it as I can. I still haven’t brought myself to try any of the more simple (non-flavored) teas, but I hope one day I can learn to love them just the same.
