541 Tasting Notes
I actually really love this one! I got a second box because I went through the first one so quickly. It reminds me a bit of these little hard candies that we were given while reading James and the Giant Peach during 4th grade. The peach flavor is more on par in this than any other peach tea I’ve had; which is surprising. Very much recommended for people who like herbals or want a good late night tea.
Wow. Tonight was one of those nights where I guess I needed a migraine pill, but now I don’t get to sleep!
I’ve had this one for a very long time and I’m actually surprised that the baggies still smell relatively fresh. I used two baggies just in case it is a bit weak now. Somehow this is way better than what I remember? I wish I would’ve let it steep just a bit longer. It has just a bit of a fake-sugar taste which I don’t appreciate. But the spices are pretty light and mainly cinnamon. The chocolate is there, but could use some body.
This tea is pretty good and I’m almost finished with it! (about 1 cuppa left) The only thing I really hate about it is that it is very astringent/bitter when left to its own devices. You have to be very careful about steep times or else it’ll just be ruined.
This has notes of Earl Grey, blueberry, and black tea. I like this most with milk, but is pretty tasty without it too.
I normally avoid this tea, but I’m trying to relax because I’ve had very little sleep+lots of panic attacks recently. No sleep means more tea+drawing+tv for me.
This still smells very much like popcorn to me. I think the flavor has toned down quite a bit, I have had this one for a very long time. The lemon stood out much more on this steep (8min). Maybe I’ve finally made this drinkable?
wave Sorry I haven’t been around lately everyone. I do miss it around here. I have a grumpy tummy so I thought this might do the trick. I used to rely on mint teas the most, but I have stopped favoring it lately. This tea smells and tastes mainly of lavender, not chamomile. This one is very soothing and great for nighttime.
Sipdown! This has been a really great blend. It is very assertive in the bold department. It can be bitter if brewed for too long. I would suggest storing the tea in a separate container then the bag because the rooibos always goes to the bottom and the blend tastes much better when mixed. Overall this has notes of black tea, spice, and mild jam; not really a sweet tea at all.
Many thanks for this sample! To be honest, I’ve been in a total funk lately; so not a lot of tea drinking.
This tea smells amazing, sweet melon, lychee, greens. The leaves are beautiful: white, greens, downy fuzz.
At a 1min steep this has a very light liquor. It is very soft yellow/champagne colored. This is so amazing. The flavor is very creamy, sweet, and really highlights the fruit notes. It mainly reminds me of lychee fruit, a favorite of mine, so this tea is perfect for me. There are also light notes of spring peas at the end of the sip. This is a really great green tea!
1min30sec: Slightly darker liquor this time. More green notes this time with light floral accents.
Sipdown! I know I haven’t been around lately, but I haven’t stopped drinking tea! I finally finished Cloud Atlas today and I’m already on to my next book.
This tea is really great as far as spice balance goes. It isn’t too upfront and they are well blended. I really loved using a bit of extra leaf to really bring that out. I don’t know if it really screamed pumpkin, but it was an excellent tea!
Oh facepalm I just saw this! After Cloud Atlas I read The Children of Hurin, then a bunch of Hellboy comics, and now I’m reading Anna Karenina.
Ah cool. I loved Cloud Atlas and Anna Karenina. I haven’t read The Children of Hurin, but it’s something I’d read. Hellboy comics are not tho.
No comics at all then? I have a handful that I follow. Cloud Atlas took me a longer time to get through. I thought it lagged a lot in the middle. Anna Karenina has been good so far.
It feels weird to drink an orange flavored tea that is basically purple. It’s like my tongue is worried that my eyes are seeing purple.
This smells a lot like the orange sage blend from Teavana. It actually has a very similar orange flavor; almost spot on in fact. >:) Cheap version of that tea here I come! It’s not 100% on, but the orange is there. The tart is also something that I really like, so in my biased view, this is something I’d keep around.
