This tea just brings in fond memories in the begining of my tea craze! It was exactly this tea that introduced me to green tea and since then I have not turned away from the stuff! I just love how this tea was so greatly blended with an accent of lemongrass with the greens, just drinking one bag again would make me content for the whole day! Tazo sure knows its tea and does not disappoint on its crafts! Cheers!

Shopping at a Costco I stumbled on to this little treasure! It sold about 75 or a hundred packets of green tea and was sure to keep my stocks up for months! I just have to buy for mere 15$ than the usual 20 an ounce deal for the quality stuff. The price did not disappoint and the taste have not either! The tea tasted very vegeatal and grassy and will certainly raise my spirits up!

Okay…I am official sold in buying pu-erh cakes now! I just love how this tea imparts the usual flavors of pu-erh but it gives of notes of dates and camphor that adds a bit of sweetness and kick. The first brews were light and lively that gave off notes of camphor, then it slowly introduces itself after the longer brews as pu-erh being all earthy, a bit leathery, just with a slight sweetness of dates. Amazing! Just a simple trip to a whole foods in SoCal and a kind lady who I recognized now as the proprietor of Bana served who me this tea herself! I glad to say i bought a box or two knowing I"ll buy a cake of her Pu-Erh soon!

A lovely pu-erh that is available out from a brand name. I love how this tea can be steeped so many times and it gives off flavors ranging from chocolate down to an earthy flavor. Not only it tastes good but its well within a tight budget! A must have for anyone exploring pu-erh or the connoisseur!

I fell in love with yerba mate since I first tried their bottled and canned products. When ever I need the boost of coffee, the relaxation and taste of tea I go for yerba any day of the week!

The coldness of the himalayan winds just blew away any sort of the darjeeling taste I was expecting…on the flip-sides it was honestly triumphant of floral, nutty, and some winey-ness about the drink. I certainly would share it with my friends and make good iced tea with it which was quite refreshing to the generic black teas usually prepared with iced teas. I say the most versitle of all darjeeling blends but don’t bother getting another brew the second time around to astrigent and mute.

The first tea I bought in years from Teavana! I find it to be very balanced with the fruity notes and the tangy and earthy flavors of the Rooibos that I do not not need to sweetened the tea at all. A touch of the paradise and sweet smell of tropical flair just whisks you off to turquoise blue waters on an a stretch of white sand beach in a cool humid day! I could just feel the breeze blowing in from the Caribbean sea just about now…

I had this tea a while back and if memory serves me right, I think it was certainly a good tasting tea overall. It was serve piping hot with sugar on the side, but I don’t think my friend who served the tea used a samovar or a double kettle brew technique. He boiled the water fiercely and then added the tea which was about 4 teaspoon worth, at which he took the pot out of the heat. It was only fifteen or 20 minutes later he strained the tea of the leaves and serve me and himself about a cup. I knew it was gonna be a mouth puckering and face cringing bitter tea, but I managed to take a sip.
To my surprise, it was a flat and smooth tasting tea with a bit of minty chemically flavor at the end. I think I put too much sugar in the tea or it was really weak but I enjoyed, though I was kind of disappointed on the all the effort it took to brew this tea. Certainly its the first I tried of Turkish tea and definitely won’t be the last! What ever coompany or tea garden this tea was produced in I enjoyed a lot.

Bio

I’m a tea lover and a traveler. I believe in delving into cultures and cuisines. In so doing, I have found tea to be the most exciting and adventurous beverage in the world that has played a role in history and in the lives of many. Now that’s a shrub isn’t it!
Note: I may be a purist at times where some teas needs to be enjoyed naturally, yet I do enjoy many other teas that find its way into my palate!

Favorite Teas: Yunnan teas, the staple Assam and some Darjeeling, love Japanese greens, and “indie” teas either home grown or unfamiliar regions i.e. Turkey, Georgia, love Tisanes, Oolongs, some white teas, and my favorite staple: Chai teas.
